One of the worst reffed games I've seen in awhile between Vassar and Ithaca. 2 starters likely lost for the season due to injury another key bench player also likely out for the year. 2 other starters were fouled out and the final starter Lee missed time after getting knocked out of the air yet didn't even receive a call. Sad that the refs can't even protect the players on one end while calling ticky tack fouls on the other. Going to be an uphill battle for a battered Vassar squad vs a well rested SLU team.

Anybody know the up to date order of tie breakers for playoff seeding?

Vassar's demolition makes the last week of league play much more exciting. They now control their own destiny but could finish as low as 3rd. Vassar looked great today, a strong weekend against Ithaca and Hobart will position them as a well and away favorite to win the league. RPI seems to have everyone else's number this year except for Vassar.

A win today for RPI against Vassar would essentially seal another regular season title for the engineers. A Vassar win would leave them in the drivers seat but closing against Hobart and Ithaca in the last week of the regular season would be a tall task. Elsewhere around the league Clarkson is fighting for their season against an Ithaca team that holds hope of securing a first round bye while SLU is battling for their season against a scorching hot Union team.

Vomit inducing make by Union from a Vassar perspective. Greenberg hits another go ahead three with 4.8 to go after nailing one to win in OT last night. Props to Union they certainly have juice at home and refused to go away after a slow start. Garside hits big shots and was great down the stretch before nailing the prayer at the buzzer.

Good to see Hobart right the ship, maybe they can get things clicking down the stretch but they have not had consistent production from their core this year. Battle for the byes and to host comes down to Ithaca, RPI, and vassar with Vassar and RPI controlling their own destiny for the one seed and Ithaca requiring someone to steal a game from RPI down the stretch. Union and Hobart look to be in the mix for hosting a first round game. At the bottom Clarkson looks to be in a decent spot to make the tournament up a game on SLU and holding the tie breaker over them. Bard has a tough stretch upcoming facing 3 of the top 4 teams in the league but stranger things have happened. Perplexing season from SLU who returned basically the same group from last year and has more bench contribution than in previous years.

Big Friday for the league excited to see what today brings. Hobart takes a rough L not sure benching Rodgers was the right move. RIT and Union pull off big upsets. Vassar survives in OT against bard behind another big performance from three by a senior off the bench.

Great win for Vassar. Dan Anderson a college lacrosse player making 6 threes is probably more shocking than Adams a 4 year contributor and league winner for the brewers making 7. Regardless great game, with the Ithaca loss the brewers now control their own destiny to snag a bye.

In terms of significance seeding wise the two games to watch will be SLU vs Vassar and Bard vs Clarkson. If Vassar can find a way to overcome the SLU zone, they can position themselves to push for a first round bye with games left to play against both of the top two. SLU on the other hand can solidify their standing amongst the top 4 of the league with a win.
On the flip side Bard needs a win to stay alive and Clarkson sorely needs to right the ship or risk another last season collapse as other folks have mentioned on this board.
Outside of that RPI, Ithaca, and Hobart should all handle business against inferior opponents but as we know anything can happen in the league. I would look towards a Union team desperate to preserve their seeding and an RIT team that played a close one tonight to both put up good fights.

Interesting situation with RPI playing Friday - Sunday this weekend. Not sure the reasoning for deviating from the normal league schedule.

Shocking result from RPI - Ithaca, Ithaca is inarguably a top 3 offense in the league this year and to see them get blanked like that shows how well RPI can defend when they are at their best. Tomorrow will be a huge day in the league I think we may gain some clarity as to what the playoff picture will look like.

Ugly loss for the brewers halts their momentum and makes this upcoming weekend against Bard and Union at home more important if they want to seriously contend this year. Skidmore jumped on a sluggish start for vassar to take an early lead. A late run back from Vassar was snuffed out by timely shot making from Roy and Daphnis who went 4-4 and 2-3 from three on the day respectively. Hard to win games when your opponent shoots 58% from three and score 92 points.

A forgotten storyline in the league is Vassar handling business. Quality wins against Hobart away and RPI at home. Fitzgerald is mounting a POY campaign, they are deep with many pieces contributing. A team to watch if the they continue to pickup wins.

There clearly has been a recurring struggle for skidmore in recent years. They haven't been able to find the top end talent that propelled them to success in earlier years. Even the team now doesn't compare at the top end to the strength of that squad that made the Liberty League finals with Kupstus, Green, and the older Skoric.

I think another issue is that it takes so long to be approved, I know a few folks that have been trying to get on for awhile.
