Hobart-William Smith Women's team plays Emory in the National Final Four this weekend out in Las Vegas. This is their 12th Final Four appearance. Coach Wilber is in her 44th season, amazing. She has built an incredible program in Geneva!

My feeling, but just judging off recent teams over the past few seasons and I'll use these teams because they have all been recent LL champs but Vassar, Hobart and SLU would finish somewhere similar to where Hamilton and Bowdoin finished this season 7th-8th range but ahead of the usual bottom 3 (Bates, Colby and Trinity). Just based on recent teams don't think they would finish with those top 6 NESCAC teams over a regular season. From SUNYAC I do think Cortland and Oneonta would be able to finish somewhere in that 3rd to 6th range in that league standings.

3 of the 4 teams in the Final Four from NESCAC. Now you see why they had 8 teams in the tournament. Best conference in men's D3 and it's not really close. If SLU, Hobart or Vassar were in that conference year in and year out what do you realistically think there conference record would be?

Hard to tell where teams in LL stand for next year at this point.  This new D1 roster cap for next season is going to make many D1 players available to transfer to D3 schools as they may not have a home at their D1 schools any longer. Coaches will have to tell 5-6 players they do not have a roster spot. Curious to see which LL teams are able to dip into that pool. I assume strong academic schools in NESCAC and UAA conferences or schools with great facilities have a huge advantage with these kids but D3 rosters will definitely change dramatically including many LL teams as there will be an influx of D1 kids looking for new home to play. This is big factor for next year and going forward. I assume the D1 transfer portal is massive this year. That being said this will make it very difficult for D3 players making the jump to D1 if they are thinking of transferring. Big changes.

Totally agree that removing OT from the regular season has taken away from the excitement of games. Too many teams just packing it in & way too many games end in ties. Golden goals like in the SLU game today are fantastic.
Congrats to both Vassar & SLU. We're the best two teams in LL this year and should be a great game Sunday.

Not sure if all realize just how many key pieces Hobart are actually missing. In addition to Madsen who was All Region and LL Tourney MOP since early Oct, they are also short last years LL Co-Defensive player of year and All region player C.Koschineg since mid Sept. with injury & also LL 2nd team Q.Phillips since Sept. with injury. Kudos to Coach Griffin having these guys compete this well without all these key players and to all players for stepping up getting them a home playoff game.

A very undermanned Hobart team tied #23 Buffalo State today who is regular season champion of SUNYAC. 4-0-1 in last 5 while missing key pieces.
