I have followed UWL basketball for more than 50 years and I haven't seen anything like the energy and enthusiasm I saw last night since the 1970s. Big crowd. Big time atmosphere. Big comeback. Thrilling.

There was no beer at the La Crosse Center and I doubt there will be any at the games this weekend.

1069 was the exact number, and your description is accurate. Good crowd by La Crosse standards.

Eagles facing "the system" tonight. Can the guards handle the pressure ? What will be the attendance in the 6000 seat Center ?

Does anyone know what caused the technical fouls to be called in La Crosse ? Were they discussed on the radio broadcast ?

OK, GT. I agree with 3 of your 4 picks. I think the Eagles win a close one.

It was a tale of two halves as the Eagles defeated EC. The Blugolds led by as much as 7 and were led by the impressive Carter Huschka, who put in a dominant effort. La Crosse tightened the defense and controlled the second half.

Who wins the WIAC this year ? I say Platteville with my Eagles second. Pointers and Titans in the hunt.
