Why would we penalize the players for a defection?  I'm pretty sure Courtney Cunningham didn't have a vote in what conference her school will be playing in.  Snubbing players for decisions made by president's and god knows who else is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.  However, I have a lot of respect for D3Hoops for keeping politics out and giving CC the recognition she deserves.

By the way, I happen to agree that Drew would be better served by staying in the MAC.

Hoopster - no one cares about Kraft's performance mainly because she plays for Drew and Drew is defecting!  How else can true basketball fans not find 9 three pointers an interesting if not amazing stat?  Defection is probably the same reason Courtney Cunningham wasn't player of the week last week.  Just about the same stats as Joyce, while playing the point and beating Joyce head to head mid-week on *their* floor.  But that's just my humble and admittedly biased opinion.

Now from off the soap box....Beth Jordan is an awesome player as well (as is Rachel Joyce - I wasn't trying to take her down, she had a monster week) and I'm excited but not surprised to learn she'll be joing the 1,000 point club.  Congrats to Jordan and Kraft both.

Hoopster et al,

Couldn't agree more about the Drew women - I didn't get to see Muhlenberg because it was a road game, but did see that their post players had a field day on their stat lines.  This team is a post player away from being for real (and two post players away from being amazing), but right now it seems no post player is willing to step up in the big games.  But that's youth, I suppose.  We'll see if the new coaching staff can recruit a team around those phenominal guards, it'd be a shame to see that trio graduate without a true paint presence around them.  Of course, depth wolud be nice too, those three horses might wear out by the end of february.

For the record, Drew is 4-0...I don't know why they have them listed as losing to John Jay when the press release attached to it says they won.  I do know they won, but now the big games come up for them, we'll see how they stack up.  Cunningham went off in their opening weekend, but now it's conference time...
