Just an observation but the photo of Royce Winford of Augsburg on the main page shows him wearing illegal gloves. The NCAA it thought only allowed gray.

In response to Kestrel. What does River Falls do with the money generated from the Kansas City Chiefs? Does it stay in the athletic budget?

Oh, by the way, I do like the size of their offensive line. 290+

Let's just see how Wesley does with it's schedule this year. They only have 3 home games and really struggled last year with 2 home wins by slim margins and both losses at home. If they get by after 4 games at 4-0, I'll then be a believer.

Since we're beating that old horse again of lack of non-conference DIII foes and we (WIAC, not Stout) have the walnut and bronze back, I would like to bring up, how would MUC and St. Johns have done in the last 15 years if they would have been in the WIAC? Let's not use the roster limit or red-shirting for some lame excuses but I would really like to throw this out there for some post play-off discussion.
Let's face it, the MIAC and OAC have been one horse conferences for sometime. Only 2 or 3 games have any bearing on their outcome. As for the WIAC, each week (except for the last 2 years or so) has brought so much uncertainty as to who will win the automatic bid. It's wasn't unusual for the outcome to be determined in the last week of play. What would MUC and St. Johns do if they really had to play every week of conference play?

I'm actually looking for something that says "Pound the Rock" in a speedo? Of course, '07 will need to be included somewhere. Please let me know as I now live in Florida and spring break is just around the corner.

December 19, 2007, 07:38:25 PMQuote from: kubiack78 on December 19, 2007, 04:49:02 PMIn all honesty, without looking back, who won the championship 20 years ago?
Good God does it really matter who could have beaten who or who should have been been all all american I don't think so. 5, 10, 20 years from now the only thing that anyone will remember will be that WW won the Nat. championship. GIVE IT A F%^ING REST.... PLEASE
Unless you played, less than 1/10 of 1% will remember who won 20 years ago.

That was an absolute awesome win for Whitewater. Please allow us other WIAC fans share in it a little.

I'm not even 50% sure on this, but I thought Tony Beckham ran a 4.2 something in his combine 40. After that run, he didn't run another.

I may be a little late with this response to the RB debate, but what would have happened if Colin Burns wouldn't have had to leave football so early in his career? But I think the best running back in the last few years, who only played 1 year in D-3, may have been Owen Schmidt.

I was just wondering if anyone from Point where going to attend the game against Webber Int. in Florida? I'm about 3 hours away and was thinking of driving down just to get a look at some WIAC football since this will be the only chance I get because I'm moving down here in 3 weeks.

I am and have been happy for the WW because of their most recent accomplishments and especially in representing the WIAC in football the last two years. But in all honesty, if you where a newcomer on here, you would think that Whitewater has dominated the WIAC like Mount Union has the OAC for the last 2 decades or so. Please, take advantage of your sucess and get all those upgrades to your athletic facilities because you're still in the WIAC where your only 1 loss away from not making the playoffs. I'm sure WW will be the overwhelming favorite for 2007 and are deserved but before the last 2 years, how many times has WW made the playoffs in football?

Congrats to both Allen and Stanley from the D-III family. Best of luck.
