Same Josh Merkel who punched an opposing coach in the face after a game when he was a player at Salisbury? Hope he's gotten his issues under control.

The knock on Steve Howes was always that he could recruit but couldn't necessarily coach. I haven't seen any reason to think otherwise.

Oh, that's Catholic I'm talking about. Sorry!

Catholic had an outstanding player but we won because we were a truly balanced team. It takes more than one player to win a title but I bet outstanding players can get their teams close to titles all by themselves.

I don't think Pat Maloney was on the that all-decade team. That seems fair. He was the best player on our title team but I cannot think he was one of the best players of an entire decade in all of D3.

Hope Catholic can pull it back together a little bit and win the ECAC tournament. Would be a nice confidence booster for next year and it always looks nice to have 20 wins.

Catholic lost John Ginnity (sp?) when he transferred to Clark and still managed to win the national title, beating Clark in the Elite 8 on Clark's home floor in the process.

Kids transfer for many reasons. Not all of the kids who transfer are ... shall we say ... impact players.

dad I'm not seeing it

www.d3football.com/school_info.php?school=Emory+and+Henry&year=2007

If he really comes here to read posts and doesn't come here to post stories like other schools do, that's sad.

If the SID reads the forum, can we ask him to post a game story here? Other schools seem to manage this from what I see on the scores page. I don't see a game story for any Emory & Henry home game.

Would be a shame if the SID reads the posts but doesn't do the SID job.

Howes' kids won the national title. I'm sure he'll be fine.

thats all politically crap...York competes in almost all sports with catholic and it fact does better in a lot of sports.  Its catholic trying to "think" there above everyone else.  And please the CAC will be much better as a whole then the Landmark in every sport.

Yeah. Like-minded institutions, where the students know how to spell "they're" and "than."

And institutions where they can understand a simple debate -- we are saying in fact that Catholic can't compete for student-athletes with low-cost institutions and state schools. So, duh, if York does better in a lot of sports that actually proves our argument, not yours.

We'll take the CAC in women's basketball, in volleyball, and I think in men's basketball too. And that's just off the top of my head.

Unfortunately, Salisbury is not. Though I don't recall that helping us out when the Marymount fans came across the floor at us.

To the experts in the room--does the CAC get two teams in any possible outcome this year?

Wait -- a Salisbury player pushing someone from Catholic? That NEVER happens!

Thank goodness we're getting out of this league.

FootballScoop.com is a pretty reliable source for coaching information, as far as I know.  If they didn't feel their source for that information was legit, they wouldn't have bothered reporting it.

I guess we will find out soon enough.

Being a mouthpiece is saying what Clark tells you to say, even if it conflicts with your own opinion.

As to abnrgr's point, Is Clark going to let you post recruits this year?

For those of you who paid attention to Coach Clark being called out on FootballScoop.com on November 25 about being the leading candidate for the Jacksonville University job (someone brought it to my attention), you can stop sweating:

By the way, he never even applied for the job.

Not sure why we should believe you. Aren't you just basically Clark's mouthpiece?
