Outstanding...my own #44 is expecting #2 in about 6 weeks. We have Miss Avery, who is 3 1/2 years old and the love of my life. Kyle is a Senior Regional Manager with Global Knowledge...a large IT training firm. They live about 5 minutes from us here just south of Raleigh so it is all good indeed. Hope all is well with you and rest of the ODAC "gurus"..

Boys the National Championship was in '74...the '73 team might have actually been a better team (27-0) but we'll never know for sure...Vann Williford ( certainly the better of the two) was ACC POY ( just for you emufan...and no you probably will never get it) in 1970. UCLA was the victim in the semi-finals in '74 with Marquette being dealt the final blow 74-62 on Monday Night.

Pat, interesting take, and no I haven't seen anyone drive up to the boys house yet and snatch the statue. But calling him an  "ODAC POY" may just cause emufan's head to explode...thanks for the words!

oldfish...leave it to you to trump all of us :D

jww...now that was funny...karma for you...love those 44's...

hasanova...good stuff... but me live vicariously through my kid? anyone who knows me knows that it just isn....well ok...guilty!!!

As for Russell Wilson, a grade 3 concussion usually means 3-4 weeks out of action...but we'll see...hopefully those headaches will recede very quickly...I like Daniel Evans as a young man, comes from a great parents, but he's just not an ACC level QB...,

thanks for the kinds words guys and little Miss Sunshine (Avery Marie) has welcomed day 19 in the world in great shape...

oldfish...nicely played ;)

outstanding J-dub...my heartiest congrats to #44...keep me posted...yep nothing like a little one around...by the way she has learned to tuck the elbow and keep the ball on her fingertips...c'mon guys she's 12 days old today...time's a wastin'...as a back-up she will live Anika Sorenstam for 6 months and Lorena Ochoa for 6 months beginning in September...somebody's got to supplement my retirement... ;D

Oh by the way...Avery Marie Williford arrived Thursday Night at 8:30 coming in at 7lbs and 12oz and 21" long. Mom and baby are doing great and a certain former POY is one proud papa..almost as estatic as his old-man ;D

Sludge...right on with the "class" comments about Bill Leatherman. there was no classier guy in the college coaching ranks regardless of "D"-whatever. A great college basketball teacher and mentor and even a better person. I know a certain former POY who would not have been the player or the person he was/is with out Bill Leatherman.

Now let's just hope, for the sake of the Bridgewater College Men's Basketball program, that the Eagle administration will look no further than the first person to the right of Bill Leatherman on the BC bench for their next head coach. P.W. Weller is THE right person for the job. He knows the school having graduated from there in 1999. He knows the the current roster as he was closely involved in recruting each player. He knows the ODAC inside and out as both a player and a coach, he knows basketball and his teaching skills are widely known up and down the east coast. What better person is there to get Bridgewater College basketball players ready for college life than someone who has "been there and done that" at Bridgewater College? P.W. has a great vision for the Eagle program...one that includes ODAC Champioships, an NCAA tournament presence, a more uptempo style of play that will entertain fans and a great desire to continue the tradition that has had EVERY player who has completed their 4 years at Bridgewater College graduate from this fine institution. The ODAC will be better with P.W Weller as the next Head Coach at Bridgewater College.

tigerfan... tried to e-mail you the other day but it kicked back..."due to extended inactivity..." address no longer accepting incoming mail...

Can you supply any relief?

tigerfan... I wanted to offer him and Andy as the next "co"-Head Coaches at Hampden-Sydney a couple of weeks ago. Dee Vick not withstanding, I don't think the Tigers could do any better! ;D

May be the earliest I have ever seen a Bridgewater schedule released. I'm sure there will be some changes/tweaks to this schedule but nice to see it out and something to look forward to. I noticed in the article Coach Leatherman referred to an "unbalanced" league schedule. Glad to see the ODAC is NOT going to a 20-game league schedule. It looks like 14 league games have been scheduled so far in the BC schedule. Note the November game with D-1 Radford? Not an exhibition...

Just some idle spring time hoops chatter...anybody esle got any more news on the new look ODAC?
