Gustie fans are welcome to join us for the Stiftungsfestivities tailgate party in the parking lot above the scoreboard end of the field before the game. We usually get going around 10:30 a.m. with the tailgating but are there much earlier to do some socializing and enjoy the adult beverages. I picked up twenty jello shots to bring along.

Another great weekend at the Stiftungsfest in Norwood Young America. The burgers, as always, were excellent. Time to start gearing up for the Stiftungsfestivities tailgate party this coming Saturday morning before the game. Faunch, that would be great to have the smoked pulled pork. I have an order in for pork patties from Ruck's Meat Market in Belle Plaine. Still have to get the order in for the burgers.

JOHNNIE FOOTBALL, A GIFT FOR ALL IN COLLEGEVILLE

By Johnnie Red

Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, today is a gift,
that's why it's called the present!

2014 and a conference title for the Johnnies and Coach Fasching,
history for the Johnnie head coach, first time in this position.

213 players practicing at Clemens Stadium this season,
anticipating the Johnnies will again lead in attendance for a reason.

While the 2015 season may be a mystery, most Johnnies anticipate a gift;
after the conclusion of the Ole game on Nov. 14, all other teams adrift.

Present that day in Collegeville will be the MIAC conference title,
Sam Sura as the MIAC Most Valuable Player again, recognized like the Johnnie Bible.

For Homecoming on Oct. 17 when the Johnnies host the Gusties,
the 1965 national champions will be honored, 50 years of must.

As a Johnnie football player, expectation is a must win the championship,
continue the tradition of John Gagliardi and help Gary Fasching make the trip.

A trip to the NCAA playoffs, going through the region and on to Salem,
always a mystery to get to the Stagg Bowl, Johnnie fans always appreciate them.

Them being the Johnnie players, coaches and administrative team,
a tradition unrivaled, every year in Collegeville is a gift and always a dream.

A tradition unrivaled, the winningest football program in NCAA D3 history,
Johnnie football, a gift to all involved, a 2015 MIAC title should be no mystery.

The Chaska Cubs will be hosting the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Night on Friday, July 17, at 7:30 pm when the Cubs host the Victoria Vics at Athletic Park. The ballpark is located at 725 West 1st Street in Chaska. Any students or alums of the MIAC schools who show up for the game with a shirt on from their school will get into the game free.

Jim Smith, SJU's basketball coach for the past 51 seasons who just retired, will be throwing out the first pitch at the game. He is Minnesota's all-time leader in college basketball wins.

57Johnnie, I have signed up for the 2015 Reunion. This is my 40th reunion year since my graduation from SJU. Looks like a great number of events for the weekend of June 26 - 28. Always nice to get back to Collegeville. ;D

Duffman, too bad that OAS could not make it down to Belle Plaine Saturday afternoon for the St. Patrick's Day celebration. There was a reporter there from Fox9 that covered the event and the parade, including a special emphasis on the Fahey clan. Always a great town to be in for events like this.

Nice article in the Norwood Young America Times this past week about the history of the Stiftungsfest hamburger creator. The burger was developed by Bernie Petterson, owner of the Young America Meat Market, and his friend Jake Thomas. The burger made its first appearance at the "free" dances on Sunday and Friday nights in 1952. The free dance stopped happening and the burgers came to be known as the famous Stiftungsfest hamburgers, sold at the Stiftungsfest celebration.

I should have also mentioned the Bock Fest at the Schell's Brewery on Saturday, February 14 in New Ulm. It goes from 11 - 4:30 p.m. It is outside the brewery on the fest grounds.

Anyone on the board going to make it up to Walker and Leech Lake for the Eelpout Festival February 19-22? Always a great event. Unfortunately, I don't believe the Bikini Ice Fishing Team will be present. :'( Go to info@eelpoutfestival.com to check out the schedule and events.

Fins, that was a great poem! Always nice to see another attorney on the board who has the poetic skills.
Sfury, nice to see you mention my first cousin once removed, Kris Humphries. It would be great to get him up to a Stiftungfestivities tailgate in the future. We would probably want to keep Kim Kardashian away from the event.

Well, always nice to be re-elected, especially when you don't have an opponent! ;D Another six years on the bench.
I would like to invite Bethel fans to the Stiftungsfestivities tailgate party this Saturday morning before the game. We are located in the parking lot above the scoreboard end of the field. We usually get the grill going about 11:00 a.m. and start consuming adult beverages before that. Bring a culinary delight along if you like.

I had the opportunity to meet Miss Minnesota Savannah Cole at the Stiftungsfest celebration last Sunday. Hopefully we can get her up to a Johnnie game this fall and the Stiftungsfestivities.

2014, Johnnie Football and So Much More
By Johnnie Red

2014 is upon us, Johnnie football and Johnnie Nation galore,
2013 was seven and three, this year the Johnnies are hoping for more.

Fewer games than last season when the win/loss was by three points or less,
nail-biters with WRF, WEC, UST, AC and GAC, the latter game a distress.

Speaking of numbers last fall, the Johnnies were NCAA D111 leader in attendance;
the 12th time since 2001 in being the leader, the Johnnies fans are in abundance.

2014, 195 players on the Johnnie team as of August 14,
including a group of 11 transfers added this past offseason, call it morphing?

A special effects process in film in which persons seem to change shape or form,
transferring in to help the Johnnies get back to the MIAC title, our norm.

The film will be streaming video of the Johnnie home games this fall,
one only hopes that this new aspect will not hurt our number one fan draw.

Helping to bolster the draw will be the J-Club setting up by the Stiftungsfestivities,
promoting all Johnnie sports through marketing, membership and event activities.

The ultimate draw will be the Johnnie football team and Clemens Stadium,
the latter a Sports Illustrated "Dream Destination," a place of no mayhem.

Coach Gary Fasching in his second year as head coach, hoping for more;
more than seven and three, getting back to where we are nationally adored!

Good news! I found a meat market in St. Bonifacius for the Stiftungsfest hamburger for the tailgate parties this fall at the Johnnie football games. One of the employees used to own the meat market in Norwood Young America where I always got the burger and which closed this past June.

The Stiftungsfest celebration will be on August 22 - 24 in Norwood Young America. It is the oldest community celebration in the state. Always a great time and plenty of the Stiftungsfest burgers.

Just found out that Wischnack's Meats in Norwood Young America will be closing on June 30. This is where I have been getting the Stiftungsfest burger since 2001. Hopefully the secret recipe for the famous Stiftungsfest burgers will be given to another meat market in the area so we can continue the tradition at the Stiftungsfestivities this fall. :o
