Saw WW play St Cloud State.  Very impressed with the Hawks D..even without Kleppe.  Rock solid up the middle.  State's success came against the small corners using their 6'5" wideout.  Quick stops, turn-ins, slants then a nice fade over the top.  State missed a couple of open posts too.  Does LX have any tall fast receivers?

I see Cap, BW, and ON all are ranked..can any of those teams give MU a game?

So Raebel and Borzick will be back this week?   The two deep WW list on the St Cloud site does not mention either one.

A while back, I think it was MU's unofficial web-site, had Marietta picked 4th in 07 in the OAC.  With only about 8 weeks to kick-off was wondering if you guys agree with that assessment.

K-MacK..Wesley and LaCrosse are the head-scratchers for me.  Wesley has been discussed but how do you figure LX worthy of such a high ranking.  Didn't they graduate a bunch, including starting QB.  An opener in the heat of Texas at Hardin Simmons with many first timers..then AZ Pacific..followed by Whitewater..sounds like a 1 and 2 start to me.

Just checked the live Web-Cam from Gustavus..looks like good progress on the new field.  Are they still hoping to have it ready this fall?

Havn't read much from Cobber fans lately..what's the outlook for 07?

So, before we see the preseason polls for '07 (should I start a new thread? I don't mind keeping this one going), what are people's thoughts on No. 2 and the rest behind Mount Union?

I can't post the poll I did for USA Today's College Football Preview until at least the 25th, when it hits newsstands. However, I'd like to be in full discussion mode by the time it hits :)

K-Mack...anxious to see your top 25.  Street & Smith's 07 magazine has an interesting list...MU, St Johns, SJF, Whitewater, MHB top five.  Thought their breakdown of the top 25 was very well done.

Just picked up a copy of Street & Smiths College football 2007. Brief but well done reports on all their top 25 D3 teams.  1.  MU...2  SJU...3 St John Fisher.. 4 Whitewater  (West region)..10 Whitworth..11  Bethel...12 Occidental..16  Central.. 18 Wartburg...20 LaCrosse...21 Linfield.  Interesting read..well worth the $6.   Especially liked their number two pick..

La Crosse seems like the number two pick of most in the WIAC.  Looking at their roster..they seem to lose a bunch, including starting QB.  Anyone make a case for LX challenging Whitewater?

Hardin Simmon's first two games could very likely have an impact on the D3 playoffs with La Crosse and Linfield obvious contenders.  Is this going to be one of the better HSU teams?  I thought they would be down a little with Neal gone.

What, no Linfield in the top 25.  That is nuts.  I figure the Cats right back in the Western region play off mix.

If any of you guys like a packed house..you might consider the St Johns vs St Olaf game in Collegeville Oct 7th.  It is Homecoming for SJU, both teams could very well be unbeaten, two of best senior QB's in the country, a crowd of about 12000, and the fall colors in full bloom.  Should be a dandy..

What is the rest of the top ten...thanks..

Hardin Simmons may have the toughest pre-conference schedule in the land, opening with LaCrosse and Linfield.   That was an impressive win against Linfield last year and ended up having playoff implications.  How do you like your chances this year up in Oregon?
