There is audio on the simpson/ud game. It was dang-near impossible to find on the simpson site. I eventually had to type it in on a search from their site.

go to www.redzonemedia.com, scroll down, it's there.

Don't know why it's hidden so well...oh wait, their announcers are the WORST EVER!! I want to hit my head against the wall, but it's better than nothing.

Dubuque may not be considered a metropolitan area, but if those Coe buses parked on W. 17th St. Saturday had been a little further north (like 1/2 a block) they would have been vandalized, no doubt about it.

Our team got knocked out of the playoff hunt in week 8. Solon and Tipton are very good. Our other loss this year was to Starmont; and A-P found out how good they were in week 9.

Show--looks like I'll be driving to Carrol on Wed. to help my good friend Penner again. Good luck at Hampton.

Aren't you forgetting about another loss.  I'm thinking particularly about the one that ruined your homecoming...

Nice try Sportsknight...I've worked 15 miles west for 2 years now. We ruined YOUR alma mater's homecoming this year.

Floyd--

I am back on the Spartan bandwagon. Brother graduated from Loras last spring and I don't really follow them anymore. Although I haven't made it to a ton of UD games, I've listened to them on the radio when I can. It will be interesting watching UD/Loras this weekend with him, haha...although I gotta say UD was the much faster team last year and the Spartan faithful remembers what happened.

I don't know who posted it before but I can't totally agree with the Suckow thing. I don't feel that if Wartburg lost a reigning what 3(?)-time all-conference selection that they would be able to replace them two weeks before the season.

And while the gloves are off...ummm...Walston for lack of a better person, A-P and Wartburg both stink. Hit and run.  ;D

Rhino--

No way would I say that I was a part of that front row group. I would have been sitting off to your right with my wife. I took a cheap shot at you yesterday, uncalled for and ridiculous. You probably never noticed me because I rarely say anything during the game.

I do recall the UD football comment. Honestly, it burned me, but from seeing that over the last 8 years, you were right. I couldn't even see what happened, all I know is that the result of the play would have made it 4 &15. That hurt bad.

Here's to 8 years of frustration vented in my last post. I let my emotions get the best of me, somthing I always coach my players to control. It didn't help that my high school team got knocked out of the playoff hunt the night before. A tough 20-hour swing. You're right rhino, who cares about the stats...i'll pull an original...SCOREBOARD.

Dang you and your wooden shoes... ;)

You're right also Walston. A-P guys never talked, too busy busting their butts to the LOS and kicking a$$ to talk in between plays.

That's very unfortunate that fans were directing their comments to you and your son dutchfan. Not acceptable in my opinion.

I wasn't trying to make a point that all Central fans are like this. The majority that were in the main section of bleachers were loud and supportive all day. Gotta love it. The guys in the end zone section were taking shots at the UD students near them and it was in no way positive support. Don't try to tell me otherwise, I'm pretty sure I understand what was happening.

Wow from the Central/UD game.

Being a UD alumni, it was just an amazing game to watch. Just an all around solid game. Being in the end zone bleachers about 15 yards from the goalline where the OT action happened, that Central receiver did fumble on the 1. No doubt about it. The read option fumble by UD; it looked like Jackson might have held a little long. It was bang-bang though, what can you do. Jackson made plays all day.

Having to listen to the 5 idiot, fat Central fans behind me all day was a real treat. Yelling about how the "Rhinos" were playing "Central football." Hey fellas, I hope a couple of you read this: SCHURING HAD 65 YARDS ON 25 CARRIES! Now that I have that off my chest, Connell is outstanding. Key plays when they were needed. 3rd down play in OT for Central O, 2 players from UD had hands on the ball. Then the field goal is partially blocked. Gut wrenching.

There will be other days fellas. Keep playing your guts out.

Dutchfan--
Loras also invited Dubuque Wahlert to play their home football games at Loras College. Some of city games would definitely need at least a few bleachers on the other side. Luther's fans and UD's fans used those bleachers last season.

I want to clear the air about Penner.

Being his best friend, I was one of the first to know the East story. You got to love when the assistant principal/AD at East offers him the position with the approval of the other 10 or so on the interview committee. Well, long story short, the princiapl (female whom is leaving at the end of the school year) decides to revoke his offer and give the promised PE position to someone within the district. She actually had the nerve to call Penner and still ask him if he were interested in the football position. THAT is when he withdrew his name for consideration. I guess East just doesn't have any desire to be successful.

Union went from 8-1 in '97, to 1-8 in '98. '98 they were just bad.
#13
Penner played LB at UD. One of the hardest working people I know.

Sportsknight--do you know what you are talking about? You didn't play Union in '98-'99 for sure, at least not in Districts. In '97 they were 8-1, and in '96 you guys did barely get by them, and Cascade had a good team in '96.

So after Coe and UD put in fieldturf this offseason, that'll leave Cornell, Luther and BV. How long before one of those 3 jumps on the wagon?

I'll help you Minnesota guys that don't think too well. :D

In what OTHER SITUATION, meaning not d3hoops. Come on now, use those quality educations. Must not have faired too well on the IOWA test of basic skills either!  ;D
