I just talked to my son at SU and he said Anthony Hayes is at the Redskins rookie camp today. Not sure why his name wasn't listed but it is on the DIII web page in one of the recent stories. A few teams were looking at Hayes and he did very well in the combines.

SU and Methodist Pictures are now posted. This of course is the last for this year. Record aside SU has some talent and the upcoming season will have a much better showing. A lot of younger players got experience this year. No predictions of grandeur just a better showing next year. http://www.fivemics.net/Shenandoah-2006.html

Uncle Jessie, they would only forfeit the ones the illegal player particiated in, that was all the SU forfeited. But if they wait too long the NCAA could do more in the way of punishment and sanctions. They rule, just ask them.

I would love the Jello affect, but what you see is what I have. You can use it, I picked up on a free web site a few years ago. It wasn't copy righted.

Not much to say about Saturday's game. I'm not so sure that the WR position is a problem. I've not seen many good passes to them or the TE. As for Frates, it seems not to matter if he gets much yardage, they just give him the ball that many more times to try to control the ground. I hope the video clips played for you. If they load up slow it's because more people are starting to view them. Once it's loaded just hit the reset icon on the browser and it will play cleanly. I think I'll try to find the Ferrum games radio broadcast archive and see what's going on down there. Looks like they play well and maybe better then that.

There are video clips on the web page now. Just click on the game pictures link.
And although the score does not reflect it, SU did have some quality plays. BC knows how to rotate their assests and they stay fresh throughout the game. Your connection speed will determine how long it takes to view the files.

Enjoy the pics. They'll get better. When I'm really organized again I'll even have some video clips now and then. By the way I thought our defense did come to play and this was a good game to build those skills. The QBs of Catholic will be a force and showed that today with some crisp passes. But our guys were always near the receivers and made some great stops.

SU pictures our there now. Not as good as they will be in the future. Had to use a small digital camera with a limited zoom. More close up shots next week.

Shenandoah 12 Catholic 0 - Final
Not a good game for either team, although SU defense controlled the line on runs and the Punter #23 was excellant for giving Catholic poor field position. Catholic changed out the QB a lot and had some good early plays and then again on their last drive against a prevent defense. I don't know what it was supposed to prevent. A 65(70) yard punt to the seven of Catholic lead to a sack in the endzone. SU needs more variety with the running game and the passing was not as strong as you would like. First game jitters I think. Pretty clean game overall. Catholic lost a TD near the end of the game when the catch was ruled incompleted, no possesion before going out of the endzone. SU intercepted twice, none for Catholic, no fumbles lost by either team. Only fumble I saw was a bad exchange between the QB and Center late in the game by SU.
