Who cares about how many teams possibly can make it to the playoffs, the only thing we should be concerned about is putting some W's up on the board. Worry about the playoffs at the end of the season.

Thats why I say I am from Southwest Virginia instead of Virginia. Didn't everyone know that Virginia ends at Roanoke.

Is it me or are college students today just down right stupid. The first thing I learned when I went to Emory was to keep my mouth shut about parties and not to publish photographs of said party. Moreover, cameras were never allowed anywhere near places where "women of the night" are going to be in attendance. (never been to such a place, heard of them though:) Furthermore I also learned to use words such as "team building" instead of "hazing". A good remedy to the current situation on college campuses would be some good old fashioned "team building". The kind that involves wood and backsides.

CNU it takes some losing seasons to build some character. I think its great Bridgewater is doing well right now, after so many losing seasons they have definitly earned the right to win a few. All those losing years has definitly built a lot of character. We at E&H took are winning success for granted and now look where we are now. But I have more fire in me now to want to cheer for E&H to win then I have in A long time.

Here are some all-time statistics for you, VT 616-413, UVA 571-499, WandM 495-484, E&H 479-364, H-S 461-417, R-M 443-428, W&L 433-478, BC 177-359

When CNU has more than 50 years of football history than they can talk about being king of D3 in VA.

Anyway, with the success that Bridgwater is having improvements should be made, the football team deserves that respect. I feel that Emory would not been in the place it is now if improvements had been made sooner to the weight room.

E&H bought out the Dairy farm next door to the campus, so we haven,t had to worry about the cattle dung anymore. Hopefully, heard that they might lease the land out again to a cattle farmer. I would still rather smell cattle dung then Turkey.

The biggest improvement BC can make is to get rid of the chicken farms. Wait, you can't do that either, because you don't want to loose your biggest source of fertilizer for the field.

I should not have stated that the way I did, What I mean is, that first Championship started the trend and ended two decades worth of frustration. That first championship in actuality is a national championship in itself. Thus deserves a ring. Since that time I think it is more valuable to spend money on trying to keep the trend going then on spending it on jewelry. Its like this, I just got promoted, I could take the extra money I am earning and buy a new car or I can invest that money and seek a greater return in the long run with it.  Would you rather have a ring or would you rather have the knowledge that you helped the people behind you reach even higher. If BC had the type of budget other programs have their is no problem in buying rings. Coach Clarcj probably makes a descent salary but I highly doubt that his assistants are. Shouldn't money be given to bolster the assistants salaries. I think that is more beneficial than rings.

If it would get a new field and stadium I would not care if Boudriuex Butt Paste paid for it for naming rights. Thats the name of the game now a days. A historical figures name is not on the new science building at BC. From what I heard the donors name is.

I don't totally disagree with you Wrighthall, but BC is a lot like Emory the athletic budget is not all that great. Earlier in the thread people were discussing improvements that needed to be made to the locker rooms. Instead a spending money on rings spend the money on improving the locker room and then name it in honor of those that were involved in that particular championship. Emory and BC are not like WVU football which has an immense endowed football budget. The first senior group definitly earned a ring they set the standard of what hard work will earn you, however I do not think the groups that have come after them have worked and struggled as they.  Also if a donor wants to give money just for rings well their is nothing you can do about that other than buys some rings. I would still try to get the donor to spend money on athletic improvements.

Being witness to many ODAC championship rings, I believe as your Baseball coach does, Win the South region win a ring. Conference championship rings are great but I think college class rings are better. A class ring embodies all you went through in college not a particular aspect.  Actually I am a little bit more extreme that the BC baseball coach, after thinking about it a little bit more, rings should only be rewarded to national champions. Money that would be spent on conference rings should go to fund weight equipment or other projects that could continue the success of the program. Other than that students should buy al class ring. Or schools should do as VMI and give Juniors class rings.

What are you turf people trying to do, put John Deere out of Business. Nothing marks the end of summer better than seeing a football field getting prepared for the new season.

Its no wonder the roads are so bad in PA they're spending all the money on Field-Turf.
