Great hire for UD. Outstanding hire. The multiple zone offense is coming to UD. It shall be interesting.

What a great way to make a splash with hire. Coe should take note for when they are looking for a new coach in a few years.  ;D

Zweifel is a Zone offense Guru. Many Zone schemes books and videos published with his name on them. if that is who UD hires it would be an outstanding hire.

DBQ- I align myself as a Duhawk, but with Willis running the show at Wartburg, I am very Confused again. I had almost transitioned completely away from being confused.

Bottom line, when the Duhawks and the Knights line up- I will be wearing my Duhawk gear!

WOW-- Miss a few days and look what happens.

With Willis running the show again in Waverly I predict an IIAC Title this season.

Gas prices ;D

My 08 Silverado gets me 16mpg in the city which is way up from my old one which was 11 or 12- Luckily I don't drive it too much and fill it up every week and a half or so.  Last time I did the math my wifes car got about 26mpg running on 91.

Over the last few months the business bought 4 new delivery cars- Chevy Aveo's absolutely amazing gas mileage and they were around 8g's brand new. Can't beat that for what we use them for.

I remember teeing up on a 20oz bottle and lettin' it rip. I only wish I could remember the several nights I played a**hole with a bottle of Wild Turkey while living on Clinton 1 S. Too many good memories were created there
I came down from C3 South a couple times and witnessed that. First time I had seen a Turkey Call.

My groomsmen bought me a bottle on my wedding day. To this day I can't smell it and not want to puke.

With as nice as the majority of the buildings are on Wartburgs campus, I would assume about the only place that one could destroy and not get into much trouble would be Clinton hall.

Not convinced of the hire.. A great guy, and probably a great coach, but not the right hire in my opinion. Time will tell I guess.

I am not going to let the cat out of the bag, but I can assure you that we got the guy we've been going after the whole time.

Well coocoo we are all looking forward to seeing the cat be let out of the bag :o

As much as I hate to say this, the anticipation is killing me.

The wrong hire could bring Coe's program down to where it was before Raeburn. The right hire could propel them past the Dutch and the Knights.

Coe news...
From what I can gather, another offer has been made to an up-and-comer who is now a GA at Iowa and a Coe Alum. Has a coaching pedigree...Has until tomorrow to accept.
Coe going the young route again as he is under 30. Wasn't Raeburn under 30 as well when he took the job. That seemed to work out alright.

I was informed Tuesday that it was down to two coaches. One was a fairly established coach in d3. I also heard the process may have taken longer because a candidate applied in the later stages of the search. I would assume a decision will be made tomorrow or early next week

I would think they may want to get the hire completed this week or early next week, considering Coe is helping to host the D3 National Wrestling Tourney, March 7-8th. I would imagine a lot of time and effort is being put towards that event here in the next 2 weeks.

So TME seems to know who will be the next Coe coach, yet Coocoo and Charlie are nowhere to be found.

Seems like Kohawk nation is getting restless waiting for a new coach
So, if we answer your questions we are getting restless, and if we don't we are hiding?

I never said anyone was hiding.

If I was a Coe fan I would be getting restless. Raeburn built a hell of a program, I would think finding the right guy could be pretty easy for a school that has a good program and as much as I hate to say it, is in a decent location in terms of things to do for students, outside of academics.

If people really have turned the job down it has to be some type of compensation issue. It does not have to be a yearly salary issue, maybe it is "my 2 kids are in HS and I want them to be able to go to college for free."

I have heard of a few guys that have turned down jobs because their kids don't get free tuition and the such

That would be news to me.  Everyone from coaches to professors to janitorial staff gets free tuition at Coe for their children.  My coach got married while I was their and two years later his step daughter got free tuition.  Maybe things have changed.  Are you sure, or just Confused?

Kids get free tuition still

I never said that is the issue, I just know that maybe that could be a sticking point for some people I believe a coach turned down a different IIAC school a few years back because of that. I was simply putting it out there.

Either way, the longer this goes on the worse it could get in the court of public perception.

I have heard the claws are out on the recruiting trail when a kid says the are looking at Coe. I think the standard response from the coach would be "Why would you go there, they don't even have a Head Coach"
