Every state, and nearly every nation, is doing everything it can to completely kill themselves.  Europe is a total mess, Canada is not much better and yet both parties can only suggest emulating failure.

As an added bonus, we also have some seriously fit birds here.  viz...

The Rev walks around with a perpetual headache from his eyeballs popping out of their sockets.

Very nice rev.  Do you have nice pair of aviators to conceal the viewing, or do Korean women enjoy the attention they get from an American?

here's SF's Rant:

Who the hell would put themselves on the bachelor and bachelorette shows?  SF thought these people were really, really desperate and in most cases had major issues behind decisions to search for their future-ex on National TV.   SF has only had to watch one of these shows in the past but it was weird -- grown women crying, having catfights and complaining about time spent with a guy they met two weeks prior.

Two weeks ago, SF's employer confirmed the pending participation of a coworker on the upcoming Bachelorette.  Having known this guy for almost 5 years -- he's piped alot of women... some really desirable ones.  SF can't see a reason for his decision to be on the show --- or why anyone would be, for that matter.

SF will be watching this show, starting on Monday -- strictly for the ability to participate in email chains making fun of him.  What a dope.

Happy Drinking, LLPP.

Gro has always wondered... how do companies grant leave of abscence for reality TV? If Gro was an HR manager I'd have employee X sign a bunch of paperwork before going on one.

If you bring embarassment to the company you will be terminated.
If you create a signature catch phrase the company will own 40% of any profits generated
Every time you cry on camera you will lose 1 vacation day

Have fun watching that train wreck SF.

on the RPI front, they converted the best western on 6th ave into a dorm. Interesting.

Maybe now they can open up the approach so it's not just an expensive staircase behind a building. Actually, Gro prefers the old raiders of the lost ark approach.

Interesting SF......speaking of reality TV, has anyone been watching 'Survivor'....U89 is addicted to this and most of the MTV competitive shows.

Back to 'Survivor', the dude 'Coach' could be the biggest tool in the history of reality TV.

I'm a loyal watcher.  Coach has easily made this one of the best seasons.  Tool is the perfect word for him.  Who opts to bring their assistant coach as their "loved one" on a reality show?  That just goes to show that the dood has no friends.  And the insanely unbelievable lies that he spins is too much.  The guy is just a complete mental case as exhibited by the "back spasms" that suddenly floored him moments after Taj warned him not to strain his back anymore.  I can't wait to hear the inane question that he concocts for the final or the questions that Jeff asks him during the reunion show.  RIP Dragon Slayer.

How about when he told his assistant coach, "They made up a nickname for me.....wanna know what it is?  'Dragon Slayer'.......

His buddy helping him stretch was pretty uncomfortable as well.

If U89 were on the show, U89 thinks he would have to say, "Dude, what's your real name....U89 ain't calling you coach."

QuoteRPI Football Announces Recruiting Class

TROY, N.Y. - Rensselaer head football coach Joe King has announced the program's Class of 2013. Among the group of 49 student-athletes who have decided to play for the Engineers beginning this fall are 19 from New York and six from New Jersey. Others hail from California (1), Colorado (1), Connecticut (2), Florida (4), Massachusetts (5), New Hampshire (4), Pennsylvania (1), Rhode Island (1), South Carolina (1) and Texas (4).

This recruiting class will help open the Institute's $114 [Million] East Campus Athletic Village, which features a 5,200-seat stadium in which football will play. The facility will also have dedicated locker rooms for football and seven other sports, a 4,800-square foot strength & conditioning center, a brand new athletic training suite, and many other things features.

full release

Add to that list a transfer from Army via Bridgton Academy.  Good size (6'4" - 240) QB who enrolled in Jan and went through spring football.  Will fight for starting job this summer.

One of the OT's is a transfer from Hofstra.

Also noted a few post grad recruits from Avon Old Farms.. one I believe spent two years there, has good size for a NT (280lbs).  If he earns it, may get significant playing time on the DL in the fall.

I would love to see an elementary school teacher go to his principal and ask for a leave because of a reality show "opportunity."

Speaking of reality shows has anyone seen, "The Real Housewives of NY City?" My wife watches this show all the time and recently I have tagged along for the ride. Talk about enterainment. It is funny because it is really Jerry Springer with an education and dressed up. They absolutely kick the **** out of each other verbally on a minute to minute basis. Their tongues are like the "Liquad Swords" of the Wu-tang. The hatred is off the ****ing charts!

By the way +k to all for a happy Friday Lamp lighting on the LLPP!

As a matter of fact, The Rev does wear aviators everywhere.
But it's pretty hard to conceal this reaction...

The Rev is not very subtle.

He's probably doing the country a favor by letting this out.  Can anyone imagine Joe Biden having to take over?  Yikes..

What's this... a Patrick Ewing guarantee that actually came true? How about that? Blame it on Starbury Boston fans. Doesn't the sports guy have a theory on this? Former superstar signs on to powerhouse team in a lesser role in hopes of winning a title... anyone remember Karl Malone and Gary Payton on the Lakers? Get on that Mr. Simmons.

To be honest, gro didn't watch last nights game. Haven't watched a full playoff game this year. But for those that are still into the NBA you've got a nice final 4 set up here with Kobe, Melo, Dwight Howard, and LeBron headlining.

Simply put, amazing

Joe was commonly known as the dumbest man in the senate.  JT now calls him the Vice Dummy and the best insurance policy Obama could ever have.  Hell, he's got two.  Pelosi is third in line.  If Joe and Nancy don't scare you, then nothing does.

Well that was a great political move by Obama in my opinion.  Having a white male yahoo on your side is going to get a lot of white male and female yahoo votes .  The lefties aren't going protest anything Obama did at that point and he knew it.  Brilliant move I thought.

NOTE: JU will post this stuff on the politics board in the future.

If anyone is listening to Obama's speech right now, for such a profound speaker, he sure uses "uhh" quite a bit. For example, every uhh other uhh word.
