U89 - it saves money on scuba gear.

Me thinks the dutchmen will be very envious of the new diggs across the hudson.  Not that there's anything wrong with Frank Bailey field. I mean, you added some new bleachers, so you got that going for you.

Yeah and RPI has 5,260 seats, of which 120 will be used on any given Saturday.

Reg, I think they'll average 1100-1500 fans per game next year.  Way under capacity, but that was common knowledge when they built the thing. Students, alumns and family are the usual crowd. In order to pack the house RPI is going to need more student participation and some fans from around the area that have no affiliation with the school.

There are only 3 college teams in the area (Albany, RPI, Union, 4 if you count HVCC) and RPI now has the best facilities, so there is a market to be tapped into.

Any long term plans to go 1-AA you think?  They might be a good Patriot league fit (non scholorship and all)

Jealousy obviously has a lot to do with it.....but, any time U89 has an opportunity to point out a homophobic RPI comparison...he's going for it!!

PBR, Are you trying to get me fired up this early in the morning??  Are we seriously paying congress to fix the playoff system and steriods??  Don't they have bigger fish to fry, like bailing out the economy and making laws?

What's next?  regulating the interweb?

no worries about the web...al gore invented it so it has to be safe. after all everything on the internet is true right? the way pbr see's it no real meaningful legislation is getting done since most congressmen/senators/governors from both parties are out shagging every body w/ a pulse they can find so why not at least get something 1/2 decent done like a real playoff system...

PBR...

pbr thinks rpi's home games will resemble univ. of pitt's attendance at home games...

20 years ago this year... these movies came out

There are some great movies on this list. Has it really been 20 years since Ricky Vaughn, Jake Taylor, Willie Mays-Hayes, Roger Dorn and Pedro Cerano turned things around in Cleveland??

dlippiel

dlippiel witnessed two amazing vehicles today that cleary put the Capital Region in the top 10 most amazing places to live in the US.

1.) A rusted out blazer that had a ****ing HUGE sticker on the back windsheild that said "White Trash Racin."

2.) A pimped out black Escalade that also had a ****ing HUGE sticker on the back windsheild that said, "Mr. New York." As dlippiel drove past the Escalade shaking his head in disbelief he looked to his left to see the sticker "518" on the side windows.

dlippiel honestly doesn't know what this world is coming to. First RPI gets this ****ing amazing stadium and next he encounters these gems on the road.

I did notice some horrible classics on that list as well including,

Actually UHF was funny in a 1980s sort of way.

Oh and Fletch Lives is on there too.
