Don't you guys keep a spare bottle of bourbon or scotch around for times like these (or if the wife/gf is out of town)?

yes but considering  we had a blizzard 3 days before this one and 2 major storms the week before that my liquor/beer bars are running light. pbr is down to 1 case of brew left and 2 storms lining up next week

Don't you guys have stores?

ummm...yes but deliveries are backed up everywhere and people see snow and panic and pick the shelves clean

Don't know if any caught Blue Mountain State on Spike last night but it was incredible.

The Premise:

The team is on a 2-game losing streak.  They have an ancient tradition 'lock-in' and all pull different drugs out of a helmet and have to do them and then they have 'team building exercises'.

Meanwhile, the mascot dude isn't allowed into the house, gets hammered, picks up a chick with no arms, breaks into the lock-in after everyone is done for, proceeds to do all of the drugs and drink all of the beers with the armless girl, then builds her arms out of beer cans.

Hilarious stuff.

This is pretty much RPI during the late 90's from what I hear...

Not sure if this was supposed to be a low blow or not, but from him, i'm sure it is.  However, I don't take any offense to that.  Sh!t is funny as hell.

An update from your Nation's capital:

Arlington public schools are closed the rest of the week.

Mrs Lyco is behind 16 hours already - meaning work this weekend and President's Day.

I will have to take leave to stay home with the children for Thurs-Fri and then the go it alone this three-day weekend.  Net result - nine days of cabin fever!

Could it be I am in Fargo the Sequel?

This quality family time is beginning to take its toll - and no football or baseball this weekend either.

Not to mention - I haven't seen my Hispanic snow shoveling crew in three days.

Those orders to Hawaii sure look good now.

this storm is wild...the national guard has just been called into philly to help w/ shutting down all the interstates....its like a nuclear bomb went around here...tons of people w/o power, lines down everywhere, people say they can hear the transformers crackling and humming up on the telephone poles...oh well pbr just cracked open another beer and will be chilling by the fire waiting for the power to go out

Mr. Ypsi

The weather patterns this winter are bizarre.  Everything is going south of us.

Here in SE Michigan, we finally got about an 8-incher last night.  All schools closed today because of expected high winds causing drifting (they never did arrive).  Our TOTAL for this winter is still below what you have gotten in each of the last two storms! :o  (Maybe Mother Nature is waiting to sock us until my teenage son has moved away! ;))

PBR...

these storms just helped philly, baltimore, DC all set record snowfall in 1 season...and we still have a LONG way to go...

anywho since football is ovah and march madness isnt here yet lets go to our next favorite sport on the LLPP...  who does LD like to win the daytona 500 this weekend?

is LD going w/ the 24 car or the 5 car possibly?

Not sure if this is a joke and I'm not LD, but since will admit to watching NASCAR I definitely like Mark Martin's Chances.  I think he may finally get the 500.

Looks like PA is about to spend 2 months in suburban Dayton, OH on a consulting project.  Anyone know anything about Dayton or, more specifically, Miamisburg (restaraunts, bars, strip clubs, etc.) before I go trolling the OAC board for info?

TheGrove

My boyfriend went to the University of Dayton. Let me ask him.

Ok PBR.......your girl Danica is racing in the Nationwide at Daytona.
The over under for where she places is -1.2 laps down. If you'd like, I go a 12 pack of PBR (payable electronically) with you one way or the other.

I am torn whether she is going to finish or not, put herself and everyone else into the wall or run in the pack.

Let me know if you are in and if so are you taking the over (she finishes on the lead lap through down 1.2) or the under, which is 1.2 laps down through did not finish.

Dayton is a pretty quiet city (SF lives 40 min south of it in Cincy)... Basically if you are looking to go unwind at a bar, you only have the Oregon District (near the University of Dayton).   Not much to eat other than chain restaurants... and thats really all I know about the place.  If you are looking for something to do during the day time or weekend, you could visit Wright Patt AFB Museum.   You'll only be 40 minutes from Cincy, plenty to do down there and an hour and 10 minutes from Columbus.

If you make it down to Cincy, hit me up with a PM and I can direct you/meet you.

HA ...knew this would bring reg out of hiding...pbr will take the over, think she finishes in the pack or towards the front. the only thing taking her out would be mechanical failure or getting caught in a gigantic pileup which is likely at daytona. she is in very good equipment and has tony eury jr. on the box calling the shots. she looked very good in the arca race and had a excellent save in spinning the car. in fact darryl waltrip even said it was 1 of the best catches he has seen and after watching her in car camera during the spin he is very confident she knows what she is doing out there. he said she did everything perfect to catch that car and pull it out of the spin. pbr see's her finishing well unless the car breaks or she gets caught in the restrictor plate pileup
