I have a good memory, so I do.  ;D  I figured after losing 2 starters due to injuries they'd take steps back and would have to reconstruct some things, but it's worse than I thought.  It is particularly bad when you lose to Southern Maine and UMass Boston, two teams who are normally at the bottom of the standings.  Even tonight against Western, they just collapsed down the stretch and did nothing right on either end of the floor.  The same things have happened over and over again.  Since their 103-84 win over UMass Dartmouth on December 5th, they have lost to UMass Boston, UW-Stevens Point, Loras, Southern Maine, and Western Connecticut because they cannot make plays at the end of games (which is the opposite of what a good team does).  If they don't figure something out, they'll struggle to win even one game.

What's funny is that in the last 5 or so years (and even longer then that) Keene beat around Western like a piƱata.  I think dating back to the 2010-11 season, the Owls only lost to Western like 3 or 4 times those 6 years, and the last couple of years even though Western hasn't been very good the Keene teams were worse and they still beat the Colonials.

Thanks Magicman for game results.
Allstar...your info on Keene is the info that is needed to make better picks here...injuries, etc.  On the CAC board, a poster mention that team A's big lost to Team B maybe due in part to a flu outbreak.  On the other hand, I do not think I can absorb that level of info and use it to making picks 8-)   Much like my success in the Div1 March Madness Tourny picks.  Hold a family/friend  game for real money prizes.  One of the ladies in the family usually wins....think they pick by selecting on school uniforms or colors or throwing darts :'(

Question for 7 or anyone familiar with the Western team........What happened to PG Bobby Bynum? He was only a sophomore correct? Noticed he is not on the roster this year? I thought he was a very solid player for them?

7express

There's a lot of people that were underclassmen for Western last year that aren't on this years team: Bynum, Kendall Marquez, etc.  Could be a number of things: injuries, transfers, grades (most likely case).  I graduated from there, and haven't been to any home games yet, so not sure exactly what the case with Bynum or Marquez are.  Both of them would have been key contributors for the team this year.  Western seems to add a lot of players after Christmas for the second semester.  Haven't taken a look at their updated roster yet to see whether they have reappeared or not.

Keene not only lost two starters (Wright and Hammel) during and after the UMass Boston game, they also lost another rotation player in the top 8 or 9 for personal reasons over the holidays.  Every team has to deal with these types of issues at some point.  The good teams figure out how to compensate and not feel sorry for themselves.
