Quote from: PauldingLightUP on February 21, 2024, 01:52:34 PMHere's what I've got on seniors and senior day for this year.

I found the least information on Eau Claire. But, appears Blair will not use a fifth year. Ijadimbola, Huschka, Tebon, and Hall all could come back for fifth years.

For La Crosse Noone, Furhman, Westra, Gross, Schwartzhoff, and Platz all celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For River Falls Jedwabny, Reeck, Curvey, Holland, Hanson, and Benson celebrated senior day and are done. I believe that leaves Renta, Parker, and Meritt to come back for a fifth year.

For Stevens Point Buchanan, Genrich, and Peterson celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For Platteville Schaff and Nies celebrated senior day and are done. Pearson and Probst going to use a fifth year.

For Whitewater D. Barnstable, Pytleski, Kelley, and Chislom celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For Stout Noll, Fox, Hoffman, Scharlau, Rachner, and Jungel celebrated senior day and are done. Shore in line to use his fifth year or really sixth year if you will.

For Oshkosh Mahoney, Otto, Steckbauer, and Spang celebrated senior day and are done. Gunnink and Adamson in line to use a fifth year.

Corrections/updates appreciated.

Kind of forgot because of the transfer situation, but it would actually be Abdul-Wahid using a fifth year at Point next season.

Just bumping the senior list forward as everyone, outside of Platteville, can start looking to next season.

Re: Abdul-Wahid. I thought on a post game interview with him, the radio guy was trying to get 2 more years out of him. It sounded like he was coming back for sure next season. FWIW, he is listed as a junior.

I have heard Miles Barnstable has entered the transfer portal, huge news if true.

I think mid major D1 is a likely landing spot for Barnstable.

UWSP will have their 6 leading scorers(with remaining eligibility) back next season.

Malik Abdul-Wahid
Josiah Butler
Darrius Bolden
Cal Krohn
Seth Miron
Logan Baumgartner

UWSP is also looking at bringing in 5 incoming freshman(have 2 commitments as of now) with 1-2 transfers.

Regrettably true, entirely predictable.

Some of us here have seen this coming since he arrived.  I wish him the best wherever he ends up.  I tend to agree with you...mid major.

Greek Tragedy

Pretty odd that Trine offers NO presale tickets for this weekend. So Platteville fans will travel 6 hours without a ticket. In all likelihood, it won't come close to a sellout (the kids are on break), but still, visiting teams weren't even given a block to sell to their own fans.

I actually thought that was policy: host team get 50% and the other 3 teams split the other 50%? I suppose it would be different if they actually had to clear out the gym between games. Weird.

I guarantee Platteville was offered their 1/6th of the tickets.  It may be that Platteville bought up their own allotment to give out to VIPs and families, etc - or otherwise didn't make them available to the public.  That's often standard for visiting teams.  It could also be that Platteville didn't want the hassle of trying to sell their allotment during an already busy week.

There are NCAA regulations about the tickets being available to each school, so Trine can't just decide not to offer them.

Whatever the case, both Platteville's and Trine's sites say no presale tickets. I didn't check CWRU or Wash U.

The email I got from the Platteville Booster Club said no pre-sale of tickets. I don't know if that was NCAA, Trine or Platteville's choice. The Booster Club also announced that the Chancellor was hosting a pregame party so if Platteville fans drive 6 hours and there are no tickets they can get a drink on the Chancellor.

It could simply be that Trine doesn't have a mechanism for pre-sales.  It doesn't appear they do any pre-sales ever, except for season passes.

I had a feeling Manz was trending to Point with how his social media was going....liking a lot of UWSP basketball posts, that sort of thing.

Manz is listed at 6'6", I think he plays bigger than that on the defensive end with a long wingspan.  He has a long ways to go to be consistent on the offensive end though.  Point needs help on the glass and Manz is one of the best rebounders in the state.  Manz is highly rated in the senior class, coming in at 34th according to wissports, good get for the Pointers who need more depth on the inside.  This is their 3rd known commitment, Coach Dernbach expressed wanting 5 incoming freshman as well as 1-2 transfers, about halfway there.
