Mike Maloney, the QB from Riverside, looks like the "next guy".  The 3 or 4 from Riverside all look like very promising recruits.  In addition to your list, Greyson Siders (RB-Dalton) "committed" this week.  Siders was the Ohio D7 offensive player of the year

Venice HS was a State Finalist the past two seasons.  Carter Dalton looks like a good "signee" for the Defense.

FAFSA has still not sent data to Colleges/Universities yet, so some kids may be waiting for the final Financial Breakdowns from schools before "committing."

another supremely talented recruiting class is not a huge shock.  With no offense to any recruit, transfer or returning QB prospects, we can all agree that the biggest signee is the new Director of Strength and Conditioning

Who was hired? I didn't see any announcement.

I have not seen a name either.  The job posting is down, so I'm guessing that a hire has been made.  I can't wait to see which Kehres relative or in-law got the gig

I found this on Linkedin, but it says he started in August of 2022:

wouldn't that be a delightful way to get out of that awful contract for Mount, and just in time for the PAC to re-open its out of conference scheduling? maybe?  The HCAC-OAC crossover and a PAC opponent would fill out the 2025 schedule nicely

when was the last time Mount played a non-D3 opponent?  I can't remember a time.  Maybe an old guy like Pat can help out

1987, Mount Union played at Geneva, which was in the NAIA at the time.
Geneva won 26-23 on the last play of the game (they had NAIA officials - LK was not amused).

I wonder what Jasper Collins is up to this fall...

Late to the reboot - not a fan of the format. Oh well - bigger fish to fry. Glad to see the boards up and running again.

40 Team Tournament likely coming for 2024.

JCU didn't have to leave the OAC to make the playoffs.  ;)

Dr. Acula

I'm not even sure who in the post-JCU OAC the expansion will benefit.  Maybe Berg some seasons?  The expansion coupled with the move to the NCAC should pretty much guarantee an annual JCU playoff spot though.

moving the Stagg Bowl, between the same handful of teams, to January is silly.  How are they going to handle the players wanting to go home for the Holidays in the couple of weeks off between the Semis and Stagg?  Is the NCAA going to foot that bill? or do kids from multiple states away have to either stay on campus or fly back and forth on super short notice?  Who's going to feed the 100+ players while the two campuses are likely closed?  Can't wait for the biggest D3 football showcase to get bumped to ESPN Ocho and have dozens and dozens of eyeballs watching during the final weekend of the NFL regular season

I'm sure that the schools that will be in the championship will figure all that stuff out.

Wow, with no more John Carroll and the increase in at large spots, good news for the Berg and all the OAC teams the last couple of years that been swapping that 3-4th place in the conference.  ;D

I remember in 2013 Heidelberg was looking at potentially a second ever playoff appearance, played an interesting 34-44 game against mount, then got blocked by JCU ending 8-2, and also 8-2 the next year, then sunk back to mediocracy 😂
