I wonder what that means in practical terms. Same two guys, just roles reversed. I'd think it might have to do with recruiting responsibilities, but I'm guessing Prin doesn't have to recruit as much/hard as most other D3 programs. Perhaps it is Zimmerman eventually stepping away from a coaching role altogether.

I was wondering as well. Is the assistant job part-time?

They named the new guy interim.  I wonder if they're just trying to keep continuity until they can hire a long term replacement?

I missed that as the new guy uses the word official in his announcement Tweet.

Also, the assistant role must be part-time as Zimmerman was alone on the sidelines for games at times.  His assistant was affiliated with both basketball programs as well as the esports team, as far as I can tell from the bio.

Also of note, GU has bolstered their athletic department.

Schneck, GU's new AD, started at GU during his time on campus as a student as the men's basketball manager. He has increasing levels of responsibility during his 20+ tenure at the university.

Rob Clark, who assumes a new role as Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing and Engagement, was a all-conference basketball player at GU in the late 90's and has a very successful social media brand called "That Tall Family".  He has billions of views on the two main platforms, Tik Tok and Youtube. @thattallfamily

Fun episode of "Just The Show" from GU.  Good SLIAC collaboration.  In the last episode, Dr. Barber called out the Webster AD Scott Kilgallon for losing the All-Sports Trophy.  Scott, and the trophy, make an entrance at the 3 minute mark.

Webster's 24-25 Roster is posted: https://websterathletics.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster?sort=class

There are eight freshmen, including guard Ozzie Smith and three 6'5" forwards. Also a senior transfer, Gabe McCrary, from Wentzville (Liberty HS) who played a season at D3 Lesley University in Massachusetts where he scored 18 ppg and was NECC Rookie of the year. He then played two seasons at D3 University of La Verne in California, where his stats were not as impressive. Another newcomer is 6'8" junior Nkosi Constant, about whom I could find little except a couple of YouTube videos. There appear to be a couple of sophomore transfers as well.

Should have just said, "Returning all players from team that had the regular season title stolen by the league last season."

GU1999

GU returns its top 8 scorers from last year.  Add in a good looking class, including Tahj and Taiemm Comeaux, as seen in the below video, and this years team looks to have a chance to win the most games in the league again this year.  The Comeaux brothers are listed at 6'5" and 6'6" and they look super bouncy.  The CA JUCO film below shows them playing at a pace that reflects GU.  Should be nice adds to what is a very good returning group.

In addition to the 18 conference games, Webster's schedule includes:

** Two exhibitions -- @ Columbia College (11/16) and @ University of West Alabama (11/30)

** Seven non-conference games vs six D3 opponents and an NAIA school -- Illinois College (11/8), Rhodes (11/10), Wash U (11/19), Centre (11/22), Illinois Wesleyan (11/23), Central Christian (KS, NAIA, 12/13), and Monmouth (12/14). All seven of these games are at Webster. That's a very tough non-conference schedule.

When a team loses a game by six points and only makes 16 of 35 free throws, no other statistic matters.
