Quote from: bleedpurple on July 18, 2024, 10:07:18 AMHe did! Lindenwood connection lol. This kid is only a sophomore, so Max probably doesn't know him. But he is one of the guys that has a real chance to be special. You probably have heard of his high school. 8A State Champ in your neck of the woods!

Hmm, if it's who I'm thinking, he's a biggun'

Quote from: cubs on July 18, 2024, 11:26:15 AMCongrats on the HUGE contract extension for the former Whitewater standout!

Unbelievably awesome. Love to watch him play- I'll watch Denver before the Bears (I know).

Credit to Bleed, I remember when Quinn was in early years w UWW, Bleed told us to watch out for this guy as he was a mauler.

Appreciate that Emma! And agree, he is incredibly fun to watch! I'm sure there was skepticism when he was consistently wiping out D-III guys like Reggie White did to Chris Carter. But then to see what he does to legit NFL guys is next level!

What a great deal for Quinn.  The idea a former D3 player can make that kind of money in the NFL blows me away.

Anxious to get a look at the new recruits.  This year they include two athletes from Tomah High School, my alma mater.  Truthfully, Tomah doesn't have a very good football program but friends from home I spoken to tell me these two are exceptions.  We haven't had a Tomah recruit in quite a long time.

Pretty sure no other teams have as impressive a list of transfers as WW. On paper it's amazing!

Our transfer class looks good on paper. But we'll see how it all pans out! From glimpses I've seen on social media from La Crosse, they have added some dudes as well. That game should be a classic!

The Tomah India-- err Timberwolves have done a decent job turning that high school program back into a respectable team.

Not sure if this was announced or mentioned previously, I think it's really great. Former UWO head coach Pat Cerroni joins staff at Kansas.

Thanks for the website Bleed. It's nice to have Ceneti coming back at QB with the game experience (played almost all game v St. John) he got last season.

Need the OLine to step up big.

Was anybody else surprised that WW was not  picked to win the league? When was the last time that happened?

In 2013, UW-Platteville was picked to win the conference championship. The Warhawks won the National Championship that season.

These coaches polls are usually heavily influenced by last year's standings. The D3Football.com poll has UWW ranked higher than UWL, and given everything UWL has to replace, that's probably more appropriate, but the league poll is done by SIDs and coaches; both people who are far too busy right now to spend time really trying to figure out if Oshkosh is going to continue their march to the *******, or if UWL can replace Helterbrand and win the league a third year in a row.
