Turns out, it's Immaculata. Guess the "commit" to Scranton was a misunderstanding.  ::)

Congratulations are in order to the newest assistant coach for the Lady Royals...Hannah Angelini.
Hannah has been a fantastic player, teammate, & ambassador for the program.
Fantastic choice!

ronk

Yes, Hannah turns out to be the "someone not unfamiliar to the Royal community" as the new assistant. Bravo!

Speaking of Scranton coaches, former head coach Nick DiPillo was just named head coach at D2 Le Moyne, up near Syracuse.

I think that Hannah will make a heckuva coach if she sticks with it.

As for LeMoyne, they are DI as of last year.  Good luck to him.

saratoga

Correct...LeMoyne is now D-1.
Their coach got the Binghamton job last month & now DiPillo takes over.
At least he won't have to move again for about 3 years.

Yes Congrats to Hannah,I told Nepafan that she will be the assistant taking over for Coach Genco.Well deserved.

Ok, it's mid August...time for the UofS SID crew to post the Lady Royal schedule.

And, while you're at it, how about finally adding a profile Bio for Asst. Coach Tom Kosin?
I mean he's only one of the best basketball players to have played at Scranton & in his senior year, they did win a National Championship.
Giving some props to the quality of coaches the Lady Royals have should not be a hidden fact.

They only hired him 9 months ago.  Give 'em a little more time, Saratoga.    ;D

saratoga

I guess we'll have to.   :o
Organizationally, not a good look.

Lady Royal's schedule is finally posted & it's a fantastic one.
Put's the men's to shame.

Cortland's HC(Colleen Ames) was the HC of Mount St Mary when the game with Scranton last season was arranged although she had moved on to Cortland before the game was played. So, I suspect she was the arranger for this season's game w Cortland. She helped out with an AAU team that I closely follow and has gotten a number of their players since. Should be a good game.
Jersey City best player(Damaris Rodriguez) who played against Scranton in the NCAA tourney a few seasons ago has transferred to a NJ D1 team. However, they transferred in an all-conference player from St. Elizabeth.
Colby had 1 of my prospects last year but I don't know if she'll be back for a 5th year. Same with Maggie Russell of Tufts and Mikaela Reese of DeSales.
  Don't know anything about Bethel.

Rodriquez is now at Monmouth.
Maggie Russell is tough to stop but Tufts was hurt last year by the lack of perimeter shooting by guards/wings to take pressure off her.
Played most games double & triple teamed.
At Desales, Reese is certainly their big threat (if she goes for her 5th year) but Bieler (great guard) made that team go & she's finished.
SUNY schools are like mid-west teams...they do a ton of hand checking, set serious picks and everyone crashes the boards.
This schedule will present Ben & his kids very contrasting styles of play that will only help them by the time conference play really kicks in.

For an early look at NYU(Natalie Bruns back for a 5th year), they have a game tomorrow against an Asian team on ESPNU @ 8am, preceded by the NYU men @ 6 am.
