Joshua east is still at Colby. Garza graduated from tufts and is not back

lumbercat

Josh East had an inflated perception of his own ability- a good player but not adaptable to a higher level program...... no takers in the transfer market- back to Colby for his senior year.

In my opinion he was the best cover corner in the league last year. His downfall in the portal was that he only had one year of eligibility and for a school to take a chance on a d3 kid they want two years and ideally them being a mid year transfer so they have two off seasons to actually work with the kid since they are in all reality making the evaluation off of traits and not off of strength of competition

GroundandPound

Looking at the list, there are a 7 returning all-conference DBs.  Does anyone know which ones play safety?
Daniel
Stola
Donatio
Abraham
Timmins
East
Harmon

Correct me if im wrong but i believe timmons, harmon and donatio

Timmins plays corner, played safety early in his career then made the transition to corner.

Preseason award predictions?

Berlutti and Kenary seem like obvious favorites. Any freshman to look out for?

Safeties? ......Depends on the scheme- the best guys are all hybrid types. Not as many true safeties in the Nescac anymore- Bowdoin lists Koy Price recently as a LB?? He's a guy who can cover, he can play centerfield and you can also bring him up on the perimiter as a strong side OLB. He can do it all and that's exactly how Bowdoin deploys him. No matter where he is he can tackle, he's fast and he'll make the big hit.

Quote from: Trin9-0 on August 19, 2024, 04:45:51 PMI'm a sucker for vintage NESCAC football, so was thrilled to stumble across this mid-'50s promotional video produced for Trinity. It includes, at about the 9:12 mark, some gorgeous COLOR game footage from the 1955 Trinity-Wesleyan game.

The Bantams won that day 46-6 to cap a second consecutive undefeated season. Check out the size of the crowd! I'm guessing there had to be around 10K spectators.

Matt, you sure that Wes/Hartford State video wasn't from last year's game?!? Great to meet you (finally) face-to-face back in June and looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks.

Fellow boarders, great to be back and looking forward to a great season. Lots of fun surprises in store for this year.

PS Disappointed we lost all of our smites!
