Yawn... so far Cru offense

Is anyone else have trouble trying to watch the UMHB vs Bethel game?

I hope the Crusaders wake up in the 2nd half like they did in the scrimmage a couple of weeks ago. The offense looks absolutely wretched so far. Worse than last year.

Defense has been decent, offense been pretty meh. 2 picks, a fumble recovered  for a 60+ yard touchdown given up by the offense, better be glad we are only down 7.

ETBU beat LaGrange College 57-12
It was ugly

299 yards rushing for the Tigers
388 yards passing on 32-40-0

They head to Little Rock next week to take on Hendrix College

Harmon better start dusting off his resume. He's taken a program that Fredneburg had built into the premier program in D3, and turned it into a complete joke in just three years. His teams have gotten progressively worse each season. This team might not beat ETBU and Howard Payne. Complete clown show.

I didn't think it could get worse than last year, but it has. Offense is completely anemic. Coaches won't make the call to change the QB. Offense run run run and punt. OLine is horrible again.

We are screwed if we don't get a new coach with a new philosophy. We have the talent but the coaching is horrible. If these games don't count and are merely scrimmages, then a new qb should have played the second half.

What happened to Cru football? I may stop buying the season tickets. Not worth it.

With a change of divisions seemingly inevitable in the next year or two, this is a bad time for the program to be spiraling down the drain.

It was painful watching The Cru play today. Coach Harmon was given a top notch football program with a fresh D3 Football National Championship and he has done a 180 and now Cru football isn't even average and will have a tough time getting any wins in the ASC this season.

If The Cru does not make post season play UMHB needs to give Coach Harmon his walking papers! I'm sure that the portal and NIL has change the landscape in college, but from what I've seen and heard a number of players don't have the respect for Coach Harmon that Coach Pete was given. If the players don't believe in what the head coach is doing the team is not going to rise to the occasion and give that extra effort needed to make it to post season.

I'm not yet ready to give up my season tickets, but if this downwards spiral keeps up it may be something to consider to show UMHB that action needs to take play ASAP!

I think what upsets me the most is that I'm siting here watching HSU. They have several transfers as well including a QB. He is right in step with the wide receivers. The Oline is dominating HPU.

Why is UMHB not doing this as well? Why has our Oline been so porous? Why does a second year QB look like he has 0 clue back there? I just don't get it.

Our WRs look very good and very capable yet many times we ran the ball even when we were 3rd and long. The OC seems to have no real plan and resigns himself to calling about 7 plays over and over. The newspaper said that the play calling was going to be more dynamic and creative with returners this year.

We will be lucky to win a game if we continue to play like that. We will definitely NOT beat UWW like that. If we don't win 60-0 next week, then we are doomed.

I'm not that doom and gloom yet but yeah, the play calling baffled me. A lot of the time it seemed like they didn't trust Phe to throw the ball. (that one drive that started around the 10 yard line in the 4th that was just straight runs stands out). But if they don't trust him to do that, why not try someone else?
