Perhaps not surprisingly, we also spent some time on this game in the D3football.com podcast. Our Fast Five conversation for the episode is with Aaron Syverson, and we chatted briefly with Will Blakey as well. Also got a short reaction from Wartburg coach Chris Winter about the game and what's next.

I enjoyed your coverage too, as I do every week. I shared the other podcast since I doubt as many folks on the board follow it (I had never heard of that show until it was recommended to me on Twitter).

Speaking of Sanders, he as well as Aaron Seyverson were recognized on d3football.com's "Team of the Week".

No worries! I know many SJU fans subscribe and get it without prompting, but I figured I'd share. Not offended that you shared something else also. There's plenty of room for coverage of D-III.

Just saw this! Unfortunate that these student athletes are having their season affected by insanity!

What are the nature the threats?  The article doesn't say.

Here's another article that I found about the situation. Sounds like the threats are foreign. Wittenberg is located in Springfield, OH, which is the city that's been in the news for the influx of 20,000 Haitian migrants & disappearing pets/ducks.

"In the news" is a very generous way to frame it.

For more context: The Governor of Ohio says they were all foreign mostly from a specific location.

When asked to disclose that location he refused.

Not calling him a liar, but I don't know that it's been shown to be a foreign entity at all.

I mean, it's more likely someone using a VPN.

Not that I know, but if I'm making terroristic threats, especially if I just want to watch the chaos I cause, then I'm doing it over a double layered VPN and through an Onion router via the Onion browser.  Perhaps on a raspberry I assembled for this one use only, like a burner phone.

Even then I'm nervous.

There's a good article on SJU's Will Blakey (or Blakely, if you prefer  ;)) on the front page, for those of you that don't frequent it.

That is a cool article.  Has to be a pretty big asset to have a guy with that maturity and service background, on the roster.  There can't be all that many D3 players with a wife and child watching them on the sideline!

Not unless there's a D3 BYU equivalent I'm unaware of.
