Falcons win 66. - 7 over a poor Greenville, Ill., team coming in with a 2-0 record. Kaleb Blaha did not play, out until next week w/hamstring strain. Backup qb, Cade Fitzgerald, very capable, as was 3rd string qb, Wesolowski, who led in rushing yards.
WORLD'S OLDEST FALCON FAN.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

I think your're being too generous w/the coaching, o-line, QB & defense grade.

Trying to give the D the benefit of the doubt given what the offense dealt them in the first half. They got a bunch of turnovers on their own, but also gave up some huge plays. Maybe a C would be more accurate.

Hard to say when uww stooped to that level of play before. That was jaw dropping bad. The Oline looked like my bears today....so bad.

The Third Division

La crosse proved you don't need to be bigger, faster, and stronger to win games. GVSU had the great wall of china for an oline for all we know and La Crosse still matched them and sometimes then some.

Great game and effort by UWL. They have Grand Valley all they could handle.

Ice Bear

I am very impressed by UWL's effort last night. That is one heck of a team they went toe to toe with from beginning to end. What a fantastic representative of D3 football. After shutting out RPI and this effort UWL has earned my respect and more. Best of luck the rest of the way to an excellent football team and program.
A long time fan of DIII Football!

Only 3 wins in 8 tries for our beloved WIAC this week. I agree with the comments lauding the efforts of my Eagles at Grand Valley, as I expected a wider margin for the hosts. What the heck happened at Oshkosh ? Looks like a 5 or 6 team race when the conference season starts.

After going toe to toe with the #2 team in D2 I find it hard to believe none of the poll voters gave UWL a #1 vote. I understand it's still a loss but GVSU is basically a middle of the pack FCS team in terms of quality.

It's a D2 poll. So maybe GVSU isn't that good.

Massey computer rankings also had GVSU at #2,

A couple ramblings about UWW.
Ceniti had significant pocket pressure on him when he threw the pick six balls.

I watched the live stream, it sure seemed like Chryst's throws to the sideline hung up a long time.

I think the level of offensive ineptitude is directly correlated to number of slant routes thrown: I don't see any thrown.

Dang, watched the highlights of UWL vs Grand Valley.  UWL looked pretty dang good.  Agree with an earlier comment, they gave GV all they could handle and then some.  They looked really tough, good showing by UWL---their defense was flying all over the field!!!

I know it's still early in the season, but that UWL team I watched vs. GV reminded me a whole lot of the teams I saw in the 80's. A bunch of dudes playing ball.

Pretty quiet in these parts.
It seems this game v UWO is going to give us a much clearer picture of who UWW is for 2024.
John Carroll is 1-2 and Roosevelt is 0-3.
UWO has two quality wins in close games.
