Still can't get over the kind of game they had against UWW and then this game, it's like night and day.  They also had a better offensive game plan against UWW than they had against HSU and the defense was on fire against UWW and against HSU it was like 50% effort.

Not to pile on but its not like our offense was amazing against UWW, we only had 1 true drive and were forced to punt 9 times. If you take away the one long run our running backs averaged less then 2 yards a carry. In my opinion if UWW doesn't have 8 turnovers that day, the game looks much different which you could say about the HSU game as well.

Again not to pile on Phe but with him as QB we have not shown a consistent ability to drive the field against our better competition, is that his fault, the coaching staff or the other players I don't know. My only hope is a QB change allows for a slight change in mindset across the board and we go into Abilene thinking we have a shot to flip the script on them.

Cade Renfrow (the QB from Stephenville, Ole Miss and Arkansas) got injured in our inter squad scrimmage and is no longer on the roster. He's likely gone... which is a shame since he was probably the plan at QB tbh.

As far as Wright, his arm isn't any stronger than Phe's in my honest opinion. But if he can make good decisions and just drive the bus (avoid turnovers) he can give us a chance to win... we shall see.

It was an intra-squad scrimmage.  I suspect it was an ACL.  He's had 2 season ending ACL injuries at Arkansas. 

Anyone else finding this howard payne stream unwatchable???

Is there a radio broadcast of the Howard Payne game? The video feed for the game is okay, but the audio is breaking up in large batches.

What was the reason given for UNHB not broadcasting away games? The stream being broadcasted from Howard Payne is horrible and very hard to watch.

The HPU video feed is squirrelly to say the least.

I think you they could get a middle school AV club up there to produce a better broadcast than this.

Wright's 268 yards of passing are the most by a UMHB quarterback in a single game since Kyle King in the 3rd round of the 2022 playoffs on 12/03/2022.  Not the best game ever, but Wright had a great first half going 15/20 for 180 with 2 tds.  Not sure if the defense adjusted in the second half or we just played conservative.  Defense was a monster.  Held an offense averaging 384 yards of offense to just 186.  11th ranked passing offense at 311 yards a game was held to 162 passing yards. 

Was Durand Hill suspended this game?--didn't see any stats for him.

I didn't hear anything, but after getting ejected for hitting/touching a ref I'd hope he sat a game.
