Aurora 49, Lakeland 14 Final

Key 11/2 matchups:

WLC/St. Norbert (the winner here would appear to have the inside track to a bowl game)
CUW/Lakeland (winner here remains above .500 in conference.)

Here it is-(better late than never)

11/2 Finals:

St. Norbert 55, WLC 7 (Warriors had 6 turnovers--) snc dangler, WLC still has yet to beat your squad in football.

Rockford 59, Eureka 6 (Regents' Ray-5 TD passes on the day-

Aurora 56, Benedictine 20 (Early pick-6 got Spartans off to a fast start-Adkins 5 TD passes on the day-Spartans clinch at least a tie for the NACC title.)

CUW 37, Lakeland 34 (Falcon's Logan Navis nails a walk-off FG for the win in this wild game).

Bye-CUC

11/9:

Aurora/Eureka (A Spartan win or a St. Norbert loss to Lakeland gives them the NACC AQ)

Lakeland/St. Norbert (a Green Knight loss here would make the race for 2nd place -and the postseason bowl game that comes with it-a bit more interesting)

CUW/CUC (On paper, the Falcons are favored but if CUC's hitting on all cylinders this could be a track meet)

WLC/Rockford:  Could go either way. WLC needs to keep Rockford's high powered offense in check- when the Regents look strong, they really look strong, when they've turned the ball over in games against tougher opponents, it has cost them dearly. The lower the score, the better for WLC.

Does Aurora score more points than Eureka has yards this week?

11/9/Finals:

St. Norbert 55, Lakeland 13 (Green Knights used a 27-pt 2nd Quarter to take control here.)

WLC 49, Rockford 48 OT (Regents came back from 14 down at half; In OT, Warriors' Heiges scored a rushing TD, Ortega converted on the extra point; on Rockford's possession, Ray ran it in, they went for 2 but the pass failed to connect; Warriors' Barbian-5 TD passes on the day;

CUW 52, CUC 24 (Falcons took a 14-3 lead after 1st Quarter and were never headed; Falcons had 4 rushing TD's; CUC-3 turnovers.

Aurora at Eureka later.

Unless I'm missing something, St. Norbert has clinched a bowl bid already. Should the Green Knights, CUW and WLC finish in a 3-way tie for 2nd, St. Norbert would get the bid, having beaten the other 2 squads head-to-head.

*Lakeland leads with 5 total, 4 in a row during the Michael Whitley era.

*Aurora and Benedictine are tied with 3 each (2 outright for AU, 1 outright for BU)

*CUC has back to back titles from 2011 to 2012 (2012 being the outright champion)

*Was surprised to realize CUW has only one NACC championship to their name which came in 2013.

*WLC's title came in 2014 amidst a 3-way tie with Lakeland and Benedictine.

*Eureka surprised everyone (except maybe Eureka) and won the title in their inaugural NACC season.

*Rockford has struggled to get back on track since the NACC's inception, but their program is headed in the right direction.

*Maranatha dissolved their football program before winning one.
