Unbelievable. Platteville storms back from 11 down with 1:34 or so left. The camera-person totally misses the winning shot after the 2 missed FTs. But at the 2:06 mark, they show a replay of the winning shot from the other baseline.

Calvin probably feels exactly how Platteville felt last year at Trine. Tons of missed FTs at the end.

Credit to Platteville for never giving up.

Here's the last sequence courtesy of Bob "Titan Q" Quillman on X.
Thanks for sharing the video. I was at a restaurant trying to watch the game on my phone and I missed the last minute. What a come back. Platteville plays the host 16th ranked Illinois Wesleyan tonight.

Point's roster is up.

Brandon Tilley, Jackson Sims and Nick Fox are announced recruits not on the roster.  Fox had knee surgery and is obviously out for the season.

Something odd...you look at West Florida and Madison College's rosters when Keith Hoffman was there, and they list him at 6'8."  Point lists him at 6'5," big difference there.

Keith Hoffman now listed at 6'8"

Not much help for Michael Metcalf-Grassman in Oshkosh's loss to Saint John's.

Great win for Eau Claire in the first game in their new arena and the Malvik era over ARC poll topper NWU. Casper 25 and Renta 17.

Yeah, nice wins. Eau Claire picked last and NWU picked 1st. The ARC got four teams in the tournament last year and the WIAC got one.

Point is at Lakeland today.  Lakeland picked last in the NACC after finishing last last year. Hopefully Point won't have too much trouble today. Lakeland got rolled on Friday by Carroll.

Point wins 91-59. Lakeland, with a game under their belt already, started off fast, up 13-4 three minutes in. The visitors finally tied it, 16-16 with 13 minutes to go in the half. From there it was basically all Pointers, going into the break with a 48-26 lead. I think Cal Krohn had 20 at the break, himself. Point maintained a 30-35 point lead throughout the 2nd half.

Krohn - 31 pts, 5 rebs

Butler - 17 pts in 18 mins

Bolden - 10 pts, 8 rebs, 5 stls, 5 asts

Point hosts their recent nemesis, MSOE, Wednesday, before traveling to Madison on Saturday to take on Edgewood.

Pointers looking like the Badgers out there. Slow start and then turned it on quickly.

Problem is you won't learn a lot about Point playing the NACC and UMAC early on here.

I think the Lakeland game was replacing the Lawrence game, not that it matters much. But say what you will about the NACC, Point got smoked by WLC last year and were beaten the last two years vs MSOE. Two years ago in Madison, Point basically needed a miracle to escape. I'm hoping they are past all that now. I'm scratching my head about the Northland game (maybe that's the one that replaced Lawrence).

Eau Claire kinda ran out of gas and players into overtime in the loss to Gustavus. Another good effort. All four men's teams 1-1 this weekend in Eau Claire.

I was comparing their preseason schedule to Platteville and Oshkosh schedules. Soft. Maybe they should scrimmage SPASH instead.

That's fine. There are definitely some cupcakes in there. But let's not disregard Trine, RMC and CNU on their "preseason" schedule.

Not sure what they are drinking in Madison, but the game time for Point's game at Edgewood this weekend has changed for a 3rd time, now at 5 pm, after originally being set at 3 pm and then changed to 1 pm. 5 pm works for me!

I thought I heard something about volleyball. Edgewood is the #1 seed for the NACC tournament.
