However, this part caught my attention .... "I'll add that I'm aware that a prognostication account here has JCU and Wheaton gaining entry into Pool C. This is a friendly reminder that the person behind that account is projecting winners and losers of games using his proprietary system. As such, the cut line is much different than our current projection."

I just don't get it.  Everyone is using a "propriety" approach and is implicitly or explicitly projecting winners/losers for the final game.

That's been going on all season. I know Pat has tried. Sometimes you can broker peace in 24 hours, sometimes you can't.

Reading Frank's post honestly made me chuckle. He does a bunch of math and then basically concludes 'my guess is that Wheaton's chances of getting in are 25(ish)% due to a lot of variables I haven't fully accounted for.'

He may not like Logan's metric, but there's no question that quantifiable data is driving the projections. Real games have to be played, it's still just a projection. But Frank isn't doing anything close to that. His 25% is basically pulled out of a hat.

The more I read about all this playoff possibility stuff, the more convinced I become that nobody really knows WTF is going on and what non-AQs will end up getting in.

And that's why they play the games! Everyone's got a hot take on everything right now.  Hopefully coach Scott's got his boys focused on what they need to do and let the cards fall where they may.

On the other sideline I think Rooker and his boys have a little something to motivate them!  6 wins would be quite a feather in the cap considering.

Re the Norm "situation," and looking more at the near future as opposed to the question of who his replacement will be which will likely come later, the first two questions I'm interested in are:
1. After his team gets beat down by NCC, will he shake hands?
2. If he loses by a huge margin, will we hear the familiar refrain "Well, we played just about as good as they did. A couple of different bounces and the game could have been ours." 

I gotta chime in on Norm's exit.  Here's how Saturday's contest should end:

I was so happy that my partner suggested we watch the Birdcage one night a couple of summers ago. That forceful handshake line had to go in the pod! The second line is from Meet The Parents.
