Matt Jung from BU made team of the week, as did Jack Curtis and Tyler Dimond from Carleton to represent the MIAC this week. Millicent Grear from Crown is also on the team from the region.

Millicent--now there is a name that inspires fear.  ;D

I've been out for a while. I'm going to need to buy a smart watch and connect it with my thermostat app on it so I can crack down on any attempts to turn on the heat when I am out officiating football in the fall.

I showed up at the house after a game in early October to hear the gentle whirring sound of my furnace running. The wife flipped it on during the game to prevent me from overruling it.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

VOJ and Fasching emphasized on Saturday's post game show that it is noon.

I like the noon start time.

Is there a reason for the noon kick time?
I'm not complaining. Just curious.

Probably so west coast games won't overlap as much.

I heard it was because some MIAC schools don't have lights, and with daylight savings time a 1 PM start could run into darkness with a very long game.

There are no west coast teams in the MIAC.

I heard it's because of the metric system.

Nobody knows ...

Sigh, I laugh and also despair that our educational institutions don't explain the extreme utility of a highly factorable system of weights and measures, particularly in comparison to a decimal system.

If you're doing maths, decimal. If you're doing commerce in goods, factorable.  But that subtly was long ago chopped in a guillotine of the French Revolution.

Hey, Pat, is there a likes-emoji plug-in for this bulletin board app?  Thumbs up just doesn't do justice to what some posts deserve.  We need a laugh-like button.

Dial back to page 7238.

Thanks boss.  I missed that thread of posts.

Incredible to hold out on multiple days of the low 60's.  We got to 62 a couple times, but there was always a day at 70+ on the horizon.

Duff is the furnace GOAT.

Texas Ole

I think I'm disqualified with it still being in the 70s in Texas.
