That's amazing. Helping craft the young minds of America. Love it.

Vosburgh retiring from SJF. Still seems like a sleeping giant program, at least regionally. They used to be damn good.

I know I've been extremely critical of him but Vos was always a good man. He had a really good thing going from 2003-2016 so he deserves some credit. From what I've heard he got a raw deal with the support from the college in recent years. I just hope they conduct an exhaustive search and find someone that can recruit with the current restraints and bring some life into the program.

I too wanted a reset at Fisher as I thought that it was time.  Give the credit where it is do- Vos put Fisher on the map and created a great program that unfortunately has fallen off said map.  He deserves the accolades, and he obviously is admired by his peers and players.  Name the field after him and do an extensive search- one that isnt a knee jerk kind of thing that sets the program back even further.

What are some of the restraints that SFJ put on the program?  Was there issues that the administration NEEDED to address?  A new Administration that wanted to be a new sheriff?  Or something else?  This type of stuff fascinates me, as I'm of belief that you try your best in everything.

The success of SJF seemed to correlate with the Bills use of their facilities. Sounds like a marketing stunt with an NFL team should be looked into!

Cortland was already decent when the Jets rolled in. The addition of "Hard Knocks" on campus only amplified the schools profile at the time.

Best of luck moving forward, except when it's Cortland week!

The Steelers have been at St Vincent since before I was born in the late 70s.  In that time SVC dropped football for 40 years, brought it back in the mid 2000s, and I could be mistaken but never had a winning season since the revival.   There has to be more to it than the Bills training there.

Wasn't Growney Stadium built/opened during the Bills time on campus? I vividly recall an NJAC poster once saying, "You can't make chicken salad with chicken sh!t" in response to the facilities being built at SJF. I'm pretty sure he was totally wrong once it all played out!

I worked at Saint Vincent, they will do anything to cater to the Steelers and give them whatever they want but when it comes to their own football program their school scholarships don't match who they think they are as an education institution. They think they are top of the line when they have other college programs very similarly to them academically and schools that are better than them within an hour or two. They also don't want to compete to get Pennsylvania athletes and prefer to recruit students and athletes from all over the country to promote their diverse student culture there. Problem is when you have a losing football program, who takes athletes from 8-10 hours or more away who get homesick they end up staying for one year and the cycle continues with constantly have a roster that is mostly full of freshmen.

They need to craft their academic scholarships to make it so good a deal that kids want to stay to actually build something there. They have literally had one 6 win season since they brought football back.

Got high hopes for the Red Dragons this week! Would love to see them play solid D and light the scoreboard up!

The panel unanimously picked Cortland to win. If the Dragons come out sharp, this could be a good game but eventually end with a comfortable conclusion.

I'm sure Endicott will come out angry and amped up, as all good teams will!  Just need to match their energy and excitement! Can't sleep on these guys!

I'm hoping that upstate, miserable weather gives us some type of home field advantage.

Not sure if it's ESPN or Cortland, but the technical difficulties are inexcusable! Cortland stopped 2x inside the 10 yard line. Redzone offense has struggled since Brockport week.

Red Dragons dominating play, but letting Endicott hang around.

Cortland leads 14-0 at the half.

Endicott opens the 2nd half with a score and forces a 3 and out. Things are getting interesting now. 14-6

XREDDRAGON77

Endicott biggest play was a fake punt! Guys fell asleep! Game shouldn't be close but the Dragons are not finishing drives. Stopped at the 4 and a blocked FG at the 7. Come on man!
