Right -- BW posted its own release directly on our site. All of the schools have that access.

We did recognize in social media, obviously. In February, it's really difficult to pull time away from D3hoops.com to create something from scratch for D3football, and that's the case going back decades. Sorry.

Dr. Acula,

Get out of here thinking that there should be coverage of the direct D3FB tie to the largest sporting event in the country (world?).  It's not like Sirianni talks about his D3FB experience very often, or that he has a brother coaching in D3, or that he played/coached at the only national brand in D3FB. There are Tuesday night basketball games in New Hampshire that need to be covered.

Pat Coleman

Yep, and we shared a good amount of that content on social media over the days leading up to the game as well. Good job by Nate LaRiccia to go down there and make that content easily available and sharable.

It looks like Mount Union athletics didn't even have a story posted until Wednesday, unless I misread the timestamp on their list of links to other stories, and it's a half-sentence leadin with a tweet and links to other coverage.

If an academic institution like Mount can't even get a story together within three days, why would Dr Acula expect "the home for D3 football" to have anything?  C'mon Doc

I'm not going to lie. I do enjoy the banter between D3 Fanboy and Pat.

Congratulations to Coach Sirianni and Mt Union. It's a great story for all.

glad its all fun and games for you pal.  but have you heard about Lebanon Valley vs Misericordia in hoops?!? it was insane!!! dozens of people were lucky enough to be in attendance and a couple more cared enough to click on a box score.  February Madness!!!!

D3football.com is a higher priority for me than D3hoops.com 10 months out of the year, but I have to give the hoops site my attention in February and March. That's just the way it is.

really, Dr Acula should be upset with Roger Goodell for d3football.com's lack of coverage.  Screw you Rog!  Put the Super Bowl in January like it belongs!  D3sports has to focus on basketball in February and March, no exceptions! (except the podcast) Take your Super Bowl and shove it! No amount of coverage is worth it once the calendar flips from January! The Goodell-Sirianni W&J connection would have totally been covered if it was January, but not a day later! Boo Roger Goodell, Boo

Dr. Acula

I don't think I mentioned anything about the D3 coverage but as a champion of entertaining posts I was not saying a thing.  I said it years ago about another poster, I say it now about Fanboy...I appreciate any straw that stirs the drink and Fanboy is elite at it.  I love it.

Ahh okay didn't realize schools can release directly, so I need to call my alma mater and complain that they aren't promoting this achievement properly! Anyway like I said not a critique, I figured there was a good reason, thanks for the insight into how it works.

Mount DL coach Qwamere Wright-Downing is leaving for the same position with D2 Northwood

Dr. Acula

The career rushing and scoring leader at West Branch, son of a Mount alum, is going to BW.  Upheaval.  A Dumb and Dumber "our pets heads are falling off" moment.  He even thanked Echeverry in his commitment post.  Good luck to him 9 weeks a year.

Path of least resistance to being a "star." Typical West Branch stuff.
