Too bad for Carthage.  What a horrible start.

IWU over Bethany Lutheran, easily, 101-67.

Colak with 20, Roper 17 and Wilsen 10.

St. John's over Chicago by one -- so IWU vs. St. John's (MN) tomorrow night for the Sweet Sixteen berth.

Go Titans!!

IWU beat SJU at the buzzer? La Crosse won. Wash U won and Platteville lost in OT. I think that opens the door for IWU to host.

La Crosse is the higher ranked team.  It should be going there.

IWU wins on a Colak put back, 75-73.

For SJU:

Berg 22
Longueville 10

Shooting 49%, 36% from three, only 64% FTs, missing 9

For IWU:

Wilmsen 17
Colak 16 and the winner
Anderson 10

IWU at 46%/23% from three, 84% FTs.

Stats in this one pretty even, many lead changes, coming down to the last possession.

Yes IWU playing WI-LaCrosse next up. @LaCrosse.

Congrats to Coach Rose and all the Titans on the D3 tournament Sweet Sixteen.

(IWU women into the Sweet Sixteen as well, getting WI-Oshkosh next up).  Women get to host again at The Shirk next weekend.

IWU beat Wash U earlier in the season.

Go Titans!!

Congratulations from an Elmhurst fan to the Titans. I had the chance to confirm something after the win at Carthage. Ron Rose is a class act. He came over and spoke to me after the game.A total stranger to him I'm sure. While the guys were taking pictures on the court. The CCIW is blessed with some excellent coaching.

This WLAX pod is insane. Really looking forward to these games. DataCast has IWU as a 2pt dog and WashU as a 5.5 pt favorite of WLU. An IWU/WashU rematch would be tasty!

Though I would think the WLC vs Wash U game will be a better one than last year. Last year's matchup went to OT at Wash U and WLC has the same team from that game last year.

Should be a great weekend up in Lacrosse.  Four high-quality teams going at it.

I have IWU over UW-Lacrosse and Wash U over WLC.  On Saturday -- you pick them.  If IWU plays up to its potential and possible level, I'd have them beating Wash U again at this stage and making it to Ft. Wayne.

Wish I could be there in Cheeseheadland, but I'm staying home at The Shirk and cheering on the women Titans.  In that pod, all top 20 teams too.   I have IWU over Oshkosh (Titans vs. Titans), and Baldwin Wallace over Ohio Wesleyan.  Then, hoping the IWU women keep it rolling too over Baldwin Wallace and a trip to Salem, VA. and the Final Four.

It's a great time to be an IWU basketball fan.

Wash U basically has the same team as well. However, Wash U will have Drake Kindsvater playing this weekend. He was injured last year.

UW Lacrosse over IWU and Wash U over WLC.

Too bad IWU couldn't go onward.  A great season.

Greek Tragedy

Had a 16 pt lead with 14 to go. Tough they couldn't hold onto that seemingly sizeable lead. Double whammy for the Titans as the IWU women lost by 20 at home to another WIAC foe, Oshkosh.
