La Crosse is ranked higher.

True, but that's not always a guarantee, is it?

Unless there's a geography issue, it usually goes to the highest ranked team.  Everyone is within 500 of La Crosse.

Platteville's season comes to a end with a overtime loss to Wisconsin Lutheran. So do the careers of seniors Logan Pearson, Brady Olson and Ben Probst. They will be missed. Platteville was up by 11 points early in the 2nd half but they couldn't land a knockout punch. Credit to Wisconsin Lutheran they fought and clawed their way to the win. Wisconsin Lutheran's Ryan Broeckel played the entire game.

He'll play every minute of every game, including OT, from here on out unless he is in foul trouble or they are in the final minutes of a blowout win or loss.

UW-La Crosse hosting second weekend at Mitchell Hall.

WLC has clawed it's way out of double digit second half holes a few times this season (Twice against Lakeland to boot) so it's not surprising that they aren't gonna go away easily.

Broeckel is the heart and soul of this Warriors team. Granted it's been him and the grad student teammates that been the core of the Warriors success this year but he is the workhorse of the group. A rematch against Wash U in the sweet 16 awaits. That will be a game to watch at La Crosse.

Is it fair to ask if LaCrosse will serve Old Style at Mitchell Hall for the Sweet 16 this weekend?  :o  :o

Mitch Hall

There was no beer at the La Crosse Center and I doubt there will be any at the games this weekend.

Greek Tragedy

Even though they played at the La Crosse Center last weekend, the hosts pulled in 1,000+ on Friday night and just over 800 on Saturday. I presume I don't need to buy a ticket in advance since Mitchell holds almost 2,900. I don't think I'll make it over, but if I do, I don't plan on buying a ticket in advance.

Greek Tragedy = UWL starts spring break on Friday, so I'm not sure what kind of student fan base will be still around... Not sure how many of the townsfolk will hop on the bandwagon this weekend, either... But I'd think you'd be able to get a ticket... Ticket info at the school's website allows you to purchase via Internet, and says "your phone is your ticket." ($17)

Also, if you do decide to make the trip and are looking for a quick bite to eat, the Eagle's Nest bar/restaurant across from the gym is under new ownership and will not be open this weekend....

Greek Tragedy

It's closed? That's some bad timing. I will have to see what the work schedule is like this weekend. Although it's a lot easier to watch it on the TV/internet that drive 3 and 1/2 hours over there.

I'm sure they chose to close this weekend with it being the start of Spring Break and the thought being it would be a "low traffic" weekend compared to when the students are in session.

The odds of basketball hosting this weekend probably weren't very high when the decision was made, and I doubt it would've mattered compared to the alternatives anyway?

That makes sense. Even though Bulk19 just said the students were on spring break, that completely slipped my mind.

I see the Bonduel Bears beat Southern Door tonight. What did Drew Daoust end his career at? 3k points and how many more?

Howie's is better anyway.
