I watched SPASH get slashed by Appleton East last night.  East had two sophomores that were awesome.  Shot at the buzzer by one (Sweeney) ended the game.  She'll be a D1 player is my bet.

Two good games at Kolf last night. Bethel pulled it out over Wartburg in a game that had about 50 fouls, but 33 called fouls. Will be interesting to see if that type of play is allowed tonight. If so, slight advantage in that aspect to Bethel. I got my lucky parking spot, so UWO got the victory. Only game someone else was in my spot was the WIAC title game. Might get there 6 hours early to ensure. If the Calvin crowd were all licensed officials, the game would have been a shoutout because every UWO possession was either a travel or 3 seconds. Checked with the NCAA, and I'm not allowed to answer crowd questions of "Why is that a shot clock reset?" Bethel has 4 that can score 10+, so if you can hold one of them to 5, the win is there. Remember, alternate teams for the starting lineups!

I believe she has already received an offer from Wisconsin.  Seubert has offers from multiple schools and Awe is getting them as well.  That was a great game that someone had to lose.  East might give Memorial a run this afternoon in Marshfield.

They did. I watched the Zaleski Sports stream and in the post game interviews their head coach was so humble and happy for the girls. A buddy of mine told me he is a commercial banker by day but loves coaching. FVA is always tough top to bottom. 

Got my parking spot, so all was well. Had quite a few replay stoppages and saw the first 2 three second calls that I have seen in 2025. I could have been a little sarcastic with the call, but I think that would have been an obvious flop. On the bright side, I got to see how "I'll just use the iPad for replay" is a statement that will lead to an extra 3 minutes at the table. On to the Sweet 16!

Do you work the next round at Wesleyan or do you just get to attend?  Does the NCAA give you a blood/pee in a cup test to allow you into their hallowed tournament?

The Warhawks game was kind of brutal to watch. Neither team shot decently. But a W is a W is a Wand we"ll take it and head to Scranton for another match up with Stout.

The former coach in me decided to watch some game film. I can say that IWU is everywhere. I walked out of my classroom for lunch, and I was in the middle of a trap. 59 is their lowest total of the year. Can UWO hold them around there? IWU has 2 averaging 15, but I think the key is keeping the 2 that average 11 under 7. If you can do that, it would be an elite performance.

Ryan has 4 National Championships.  Fischer has none. He's got a ways to go.
