TDT-Old Style still commands a share of the market, thus enabling Miller to out sell Bud products in Chicago. Oh, Hamms is behind Milwaukee's Best in Chicago, sorry.

DuffMan

Amen to that, Maroon&Gold!

56321, I've heard that Illinois is an Old Style state.  That boggles my mind.

A tradition unrivaled...

fins,

Perhaps you could send one of those 30 pks to our friend Gro as a gesture of goodwill to our buddies in the LLPP, Inc.  Rest assured Gro, Regulator, LewDogg11, and Krazy Krazy would enjoy the taste at their next Playa Hata Reunion and demand more Hamms.

Duffy,

TDT went to a couple games at Wrigley last August in Chicago.  In the bleachers where TDT felt at home with the bums, the only beer you could have was Old Style.  It is terrificly delicious contrary to your skewed opinion.  In fact, at The Last Chance Saloon in beautiful Grayslake IL (home of the venerable 56321) Bus Driver had a couple of Old Style's on tap and AGAIN they didn't disappoint.  Expand your horizons son.

FYI: TDT also consumed a few mojitos on Clark Street postgame.  Perhaps these should be added to the menu at the Stiftungsfestivities.

Duffman-story goes that AB drivers went on strike in Chicago area back in early-mid 70's and AB was tough at coming to terms with union. Supplies dried up, although strike was only couple of weeks, took another couple to get beer back up here. In meantime, Old Style started slashing prices to pick up slack and succeeded. Now AB is making big push this year to get that market back.

TDT-hold on-Budweiser is available at Wrigley-maybe only the Old Style guy was in your section.

Touchdown Tommy

Yea 56321 I know (Budweiser is a big sponsor of the Cubs), but Bud is ONLY available in the grandstand/box seats.  The real crowd sits in the bleachers with Ronnie Woo Woo where the only beer available is Old Style.  In fact they don't even have beer vendors in the bleachers, you have to get up for each brew with a maximum of 2 per visit.

TDT-  Sorry dude, no Old Style here please
RB George Rogers, about the upcoming season:
"I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

'gro

Gro, LD11, Regulator, and WTFF took in a cubs/cards game at wrigley last august. Can't remember what beer was served... had a rain delay before the game started so we were a few beers deep before getting to our seats.

In the lovely wrigley bathrooms Gro and LD took up opposite sides of the trough and sparked up a conversation like we didn't know eachother...

"come here often?"
"if you guess what I have in my hand I'll let you have a bite"

hilarious.

If Gro wants to give me his shipping address, I will be happy to arrange for my friends in brown to deliver a fresh terdy pack of Hamm's to his door on behalf of the MIAC as a small token of our appreciation for his efforts in arranging the recent LL field trip.
And I'm all for mojitos. I like that stuff.

Touchdown Tommy

Do it up Gro, you won't be disappointed.

fins,

Would the mojitos simply replace the kool-aid or just complement it?

TDT, the guy who rolled up to the Stiftungsfestivities in an Escalade and lives in a condo in Florida is going to lecture us about being "real."   ::)  TDT, you probably sit at home and sip on champagne and eat chocolate-covered strawberries from your man-servant while you admire your poolboy's firm buttocks in his speedo.

The odds are Saint Mary's will be fielding an MIAC football team before Mac. Word out of Winona is they plan to announce the return of football this spring, hire a head coach by Jan '07, give him till fall of 08 to hire a staff and beat the recruiting trail and start play-- as an indy-- in fall 08. They hope to be able to rejoin the MIAC by Fall 2010.

Maniac, you're an animal!  I gotta get with you on this inside info... ;D
