Latest info I heard was that Booker Stanley will NOT be in a Warhawk uniform this fall and to my knowledge, there is no other, "stud transfer RB," coming in so I would assume that he is the one that the rumors are referring to.  This rumor has been kicked around several times on the WIAC board.

Yeah? Well so have I and it doesn't keep me from coming back ;D

Speaking of WIAC, oldpa has lost exactly 100 pounds and although even more handsome, he can't drink his normal case a day, and is only able to handle 10 or 12 beers. The legend is dead, but the stories linger on.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Congrats to Oldpa on the loss! For once the WIAC has a major loss they can be proud of  ;D

I'm sure his liver doesn't mind the reduction in intake, and his knees, back, and heart are all thankful for the decreased workload.

If I ever outstay my welcome over there, just tell me to go away 30 or 40 times and I'll think about it. ;D

Ouch :'(

I just realized that there is only 1 MIAC player named is a O-Tackle from Bethel on the 2nd team.

All this despite D3.com having SJU ranked #7 and Concordia #8., both teams making it to the 2nd round last year, and both having quite a bit coming back. I guess there's only one way for the MIAC to go and that is up :)

I would have forgiven Pat in this situation for having 4 1st team QB's like most All-American lists. :-\

McNamara and Porta were the next candidates at each of their positions if we'd had a third team. Or if Nate Kmic hadn't run all over the playoff field.

Ok, I forgive you, the All-american teams with 3 QB,s 4 RB's, 5 WR's, 2TE's and 10 Linemen always have seemed a bit off in my book.

I just ordered the Kickoff package, lots of good stuff in there about SJU and predictions of SJU back in the Stagg bowl, right? I'm definitely a big fan of the $4.95 .edu deal.

Looks like the price of beer just went up again over at the 400 Bar. Rondell's on a tear, man!

That's not a good thing when you go 1-4 and it bumps your Ave up, is it?

How did he get the RBI credited when he grounded out? I thought you didn't get credit for the RBI if you grounded out or is that only when you GIDP?

I too was a little suprised to see that the MIAC only had one preseason AA but how many of last seasons preseason selections didn't even make the H.M. last year?   Should be a good year coming up.  What does Olaf have returning at QB?  I know a pretty good Freshman that could do well.  I will be attending a few Auggie games this fall and painfully cheering them on so I may have to change my handle.

KR How's school going?  Good luck as you get back into the grind.

correct the RBI is only lost when you GIDP

Pat Coleman

For the record, preseason All-American selections have no bearing whatsoever on the postseason team.
