I have to get back to my summer job of doing . . . oh yeah, nothing!

Isn't that what you do all school year as well?

Are Mr. and Mrs. D Cobb ready for the arrival of little d cobb?  The wife dropped your anniversary card in the mail yesterday so do not worry, you're still on the pointless card list.

Any plans on attending Corn Days in Olivia this year?  Perhaps I could persuade the wife to "visit" her parents in Glencoe that weekend and sneak away for a day of small town cheer.

Now bare with me as this is my first attempt.  "So what if Johan is a better pitcher I have better facial hair and bigger ears...  well I have bigger ears at least."

That picture has me stumped, caption-wise.

Way to go KR. I am giving you full credit for the Twins being on a 6 game roll. Playing the D-Rays doesn't hurt either.  ;)

What is the rule for beverages at the game on Friday? BYOB or can you only by the beer there?
I seem to have forgotten.

Corn Capital Days better be ready for me next weekend. I'll be down there Saturday for the volleyball tournament and I'm guessing at the tent Saturday at Max's Grill. Now I just got to find a place to crash. A nun lives in my old appartment.

I know I'm guaranteed at least 3rd place with this one:

Johnnie Red,

Congratulations on your re-election. What a great use of leftover campaign funds to throw a party for everyone!

Nursegb didn't come up with her own name, by the way. Some of the Wildcat guys named her that when she was out here last season, and kept encouraging her to sign on. I think the main one was the guy who visited you one year.

Keep keeping Chaska County crime free!

Funny stuff fins, but given Commissioner KR's previously stated position on the issue I think your a lock for that bronze medal!  :D

Crazy thing last night happened before my little league team's game.

A couple kids from the other team were playing pepper into the backstop and for some reason one of my kids just walked right into where the batter was swinging and "whaack" got nailed on the side of the head but good.

His ear was split open and his dad was yelling at the batter and the batters dad came over and they started yelling at each other and the kid that got hit was screaming bloody murder.

I didn't see the accident but I sure heard it. Then I had to deal with the situation post haste from turning into a rumble.

We got the kid's ear iced down and his dad insisted that he play even though he didn't want to, and the game went on.

Raiderguy, all the .32 beer you can drink at the Chaska baseball park tomorrow night. MIAC Night starts at 7:30 p.m. when the Cubs host the Rochester Royals. Picked up 35 lbs. of Stiftungsfest burger yesterday so there should be plenty to eat. Wear something with your MIAC (or Mount Union) emblem displayed and you get into the ballpark free.

Baseball park is on the west side of Chaska, just south of highway 212. Hope to see many of you there.

What is it about sports that gets parents to completely lose their wits? It's pretty scary to get whacked in the head with a bat, then have 2 dads going at it? There's 2 words for that: 1)stoo  2)pid.
Night before last we lost 3-2 in the bottom of the last, when a kid scored on a passed ball. After the game, we're all packing up and one of the kid's dad came up to my face in the dugout! and started asking me why I didn't pitch this kid or that kid, the kids that show up should have a chance to win, blah, blah. I just said hey it's a game, we're trying to have fun here. Turns out, the kids he wanted to pitch also play Legion ball and had pitched innings that morning and 2 days before so I couldn't pitch 'em if I wanted to.
Guy called me later at home and apologized, but geeez!

BDB

Fins, I guess that's why one of the Stout coaches told me once that the best coaching job a guy could have would be at an orphanage!  :D

That's a good one!

Twins up 6-3 in the 7th. Neshek in for Santana. Tigers and Chisox tied 1-1.

Bartender, get the kids a (+k)cone!

What Fins and I have to deal with as baseball coaches.  ;)
