1)Dunno Duff- Everybody originally from the region seems to call it Alec...    Could call up the Ex and ask her what they prefer.... 

2)Speaking of- she represents another very well put together Bennie....  little bit nuts, but possibly the polar opposite of a cow-KR can testify to that!!   

3)Tommie girls were always very, very welcoming when we came down for the big game...trouble was, they never had anywhere for us to sleep-always wound up sharing with em, and they were awfully 'playful'

I think it's only the region you're from.  My GF's whole family calls it Alec, but they're the only ones I know that do.  Must be that neck of the woods.

KR, ask the Mrs.  That might confirm it.

Spent the day with the kids watching practice....things are looking good!!! THe nice day drill was in mid-season form today!!

Veek's Titan has much more storage than the Denali, so I'd be hoping for another cooler to grace us this year!!

From here in Little Falls, it is Alec, much the same as Lake Alexander in these parts is  called lake Alec....

Well being from Brainerd I have to agree with Ritz and go with Alec. 

Seems like there's quite a bit of disparity on the Alec/Alex controversy.  Don't we have any posters from Alexandria?

What do you feel like talking about, MR?  We've exhausted Hamm's talk for a while, we've got no pictures from BDB to oogle, and we can't say too much about football with 3 practices under their belts.

I've spent countless weekends at the old cottage on Lake Carlos, and caught 2 Bennie's weight in fish there. Just spent last weekend at Arrowwood Resort. Everybody from there calls it Alec. But I'm going to my cousin's cabin on Lake Geneva (just east of Alec) for a family reunion this weekend, so I'll check for sure.
I was going to pass on the controversy, but this is just too important to let go.

Having vacationed annually on beautiful Lake Darling for many many years (and not caught the equivalent of a Bennie's wieght in fish there, dammit), I've noticed that it is pronounced Alec by the locals but Alex bout non-residents. However, the residents spell it Alex.

MR-- its an interesting topic of discussion....Alex/Alec certainly is more intersting than "Porta potty" talk or arguing who is easier Benniies or Tommie chicks or the usual bandwagon jumping on by your BU brethren only to bail outta here the minute BU loses. (You are a faithful fan, sticking in thru thick and thin....its a shame thre arent more like you)

Someone please turn up MM's hearing aid or get him some thicker reading glasses. Pota Potty? Cmon now.
