Just read the posts Truth and Sarge wrote last night about my comment that this run could possibly hurt Fisher's recruiting.  Both make good points about how winning attracts good players.  It has worked at IC for years.

My basic point was more directed at the approach the coaches need to take as oppossed to the appeal of the program generally.  I think it is tricky to recruit players to a program already full of talent because recruits want to play. (I am not so sure I agree with Sarge and Truth that good players are realistic about their ability to immediately contribute at the collegiate level.  I think most are unrealistic given the amount of high school success neccessary to play in college.  Besides, how many 18 year olds are realistic?).

I think Vosburgh recruited (and landed) many of you guys.  What is his approach?

SJF looks to be trying to land some bigger fish that will come in and make an immediate impact:

AU,

While driving around downtown Rochester today I saw a billboard that said that on New Years Eve some people are trying to break the world record for most Kazoo's being played at the same time.  For some reason I thought "those guys at Alfred would totally dig this!".....

Do you want to know whether or not success hurts recruiting?  The answer is spelled M-o-u-n-t  U-n-i-o-n.
12-0 = 13

You took all that time to click the "quote' button above my post, you think you would have spent some of it actually reading what I wrote.  How do the letters that spell Mount Union have anything to do with a new recruiting environment for Fisher's coach?

AU, after a google search i found this regarding the attempt of the Kazoo record:

Thanks, Upstate...Camp Good Days is a good cause. Now that you're doing the research work for this library assistant, AUPepBand wonders what the present record could be? How many kazoos? (Actually, AUPepBand may find the sound of that to be less than pleasing to the ears). Playing kazoo next to a tone deaf kazooer can be rather challenging!

LLPP may have incorporated but I think we should go one step further and found E8PP as a sovereign nation.

Our first official act should be to name the Kazoo the official instrument of E8PP.

Nah he has bigger fish to fry (no pun intended).  He probably read that story in the D&C and called Vosburgh to complain that he was going to recruit yet another player to take carries from SOWB (son of windbag).

I third that only if I can have some cool title such as Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and then only I am allowed to speak to other posters from different leagues...Well me and El Presidente

I think that we should start off electing a representative and let that person pick their cabinet (cabinet must include one poster from each team represented on here)....
