Anyone ever have a friend who drives a jeep?  The wavers drive me nuts.  When i borrowed my buddy's Jeep one time, I was driving around tossing every other Jeep the bird.

Reg, when are you gonna invite us back up to manville?

The next few weekends are completely shot.

Are you headed this way any time in August? (besides the weekend of the 3rd or 18th?)

There will be plenty of "evaporating ML"

The one in between is open, as is Labor Day weekend...

Why would the Feds care about Vicks dogfighting?  Seems like a waste of federal resources to me.

Reg...you're a boater. Help RT out. So RT is on his mancation in the 1000 Islands and took the new jet ski out today for a spin. Every boat RT passes wants to give a wave. RT is on a jet ski and can't really wave back The left hand has the bracelet with the ignition clip and it's not smart to let go of the handlebar to wave. The right hand controls the throttle trigger and can't let go of that either. When RT drives his boat, he waves at boaters but not jet ski'ers. WTF????

You wear that thing on your wrist?  Reg always puts it on the vest so he can wave, clear the water out of his eyes and give chicks the "how you doin?" point.

Reg, +k for the how ya doin point. Classic.

Tags,
Did you actually do the point while saying "how you doin?"  If so, +1k.  If you did it to a mirror, +2k.  That's how Reg rolls.

How you doin?

Tags enjoys the typical elongated Joey Tribibani "how youu doin" while giving the point simultaneously.

Of course, it's usually to FMTags, which in reality, isn't that cool.

Why would the Feds care about Vicks dogfighting?  Seems like a waste of federal resources to me.

Once it went across state lines it became a federal issue.  KS has seen the results of losing a dog fight in a vacant lot behind the college apartments in Jersey City and KS is glad they are going after him if he was involved with dog fighting.  Personally KS thinks the people involved should be put in a ring with the dogs and see how they come out.

Stock market Gurus-

What are you guys doing now that this thing is so high?  Are you moving funds to other markets, bonds or are you continuing to invest in the stock market?

Reg has a suit that handles all this for him, however, I don't want to sound like an idiot when he calls to ask me for my opinion.

"Ahhhhh yeah suit, the LLPP tells me that internation is the way to go, write that down"

it's an interesting debate. Can the run keep going? History points to the fact that we're due for a cool down at some point since the market moves in cycles. RT does all his own investing and has a blend of holdings...stocks, bonds, muni's, real estate. It's common sense to diversify to hedge your bets. RT believes another major downturn is only another 9/11 away. The threat of terrorist attack isn't diminshing....in fact, it's going the other direction and this could potentially cripple the economy the way it did after 9/11 and the market took a beating. So far, $3+/gal of gas hasn't killed things too much but as you see it creep closer to $4/gal, then you'll see more of an impact in the markets since we're an automobile-driven (no pun intended) society....unlike Europe.

Back to your original question Reg, since you're a young man (take note Tags), the ideal mix for you should be to maintain this ratio:

50% large cap fund
30% small cap fund
20% bond fund

If anyone would like, RT can also provide a short list of 5 star funds at no additional charge.....

investing is how RT rolls.

Nonsense.  Heres how your portfolio should look.....

High Risk
St. Louis Cards/Wells +140
Detroit Tigers/Miller +200

Low Risk
Boston Red Sox/-190

Bond Fund

6-1 odds that Barry Bonds will break the home record when the count is full.
11-2 odds on a 0-2 count.
3-1 that it will happen in the first inning.
