Greek Tragedy

The big news in the off-season was that Will Bartoszek was returning to Hardin-Simmons. 4 games in, he hasn't shown up in a box score, though he's still on the roster.

Anyone know anything?

Big-time win for Mary Hardin-Baylor last night, who beat St. Thomas (TX), 78-53, in Belton. Maurice Pinnock came off the bench with 32 points, and was 7-of-7 from 3-point range. As a team, UMHB was 12-of-18 from behind the arc. That's impressive. Cru really pulled away in a 14-0 run late in the second half, but led for about 95% of the game.

UMHB, now 5-1, has Concordia (TX) Thursday and goes to McMurry on Saturday. We'll see if they can continue this momentum.

Hello, hello ... is this thing on?

Dave McHugh reports that "[m]ultiple sources say UMHB is letting MBB coach Clif Carroll go" at the end of the season.

EDIT:  Confirmed by Riley Zayes of True to the Cru.
QuoteWe can confirm this news. Out of respect for Carroll, his players, and their preparation for the ASC Tournament, our extensive report on this matter will be published after the season's end.
