Predictions. Analysis.

Regional @ SIT
Baruch vs Stevens
York vs Mt. St. Marys

Regional @ CMU
Va Wesleyan vs CMU
Miseri vs MSU

Regional @ Rochester
Rochester vs SUNYIT
Oberlin vs SUNY Oneonta

Probably the most wide open bracket where any team could make a run to San Antonio.  Rutgers-Camden has been phenomenal at home over the last 3 seasons, so a chance to host could be crucial.

Even though they had a weaker schedule, I would give Stevens the nod over York since they are hosting that pod.

Not sure what to make of MSUs loss to Rutgers-Newark, but they could be in trouble in 2nd round.  However, they also have the talent and depth to make a run to the elite 8/final 4.  (Final 4 in 2011, Elite 8 in 2012).

Have not seen Oneonta at all this season, could they make a run at either of the UAA or NJAC schools and reach Final 4 like they did in 2011?

I like Rochester's chances to emerge out of this group, as only one team out of Rutgers-C, Stevens and York will still be standing.  That said, Oberlin often looks like they should lose 4-0, but they seem to find a way to stay in games as evidenced by draws with OWU and Kenyon, narrow 1 goal loss at Kenyon, 1 goal away win at DePauw, and now the latest remarkable (or remarkably lucky) 2-0 win over Oneonta.

Throw a dart at the wall with this side of the bracket.  Rutgers-Camden 32-1-2 record at home over the last 3 years is too hard to overlook.

Picking Rochester out of a grouping of CMU and MSU is just as hard as picking one from RUC, SIT, and York!  (as long as RUC wins today, of course).

Lycoming with 5 consecutive shutouts (notable losses vs tournament teams; 1-0 York, 2-0 Rochester, 2-1 Messiah, 3-1 Susquehanna).  They defended at Messiah very well in the conference tournament, so this game at Camden could get very interesting.  I would expect Camden to come out with some modified 4-3-3 and break through in the first 20 minutes though.

Rutgers-Camden controlled the entire game as expected...

MSU holds on to beat CMU playing a man down for 60 min???  Anyone watch that game?

I was there.  Frantic last 60 - and I mean the entire 60.  CMU was excellent at spreading it out and possessing the ball.  Somehow CMU even had a break away but an MSU guy came out of nowhere to deny.  MSU put together a great defensive effort.
