2011 Elite 8:  Oneonta St vs Rutgers-Camden at SLU.    2-1 (2ot);  Oneonta St. equalized in the 77th min and scored the winner in the 107th.

SUNY-Oneonta junior forward Alex Shkreli (Bedford, NY/Fox Lane) scored off the rebound of a header off the post with 3:19 remaining in the second overtime to lift the 21st-ranked Red Dragons over the ninth-ranked Scarlet Raptors, 2-1, in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship Elite Eight contest.

Rutgers-Camden, which was ranked ninth in the final regular-season NSCAA Top 25 poll and No. 11 in the d3soccer.com poll, finished its season with a spectacular 11-2 record against teams either ranked, or receiving votes, toward those national polls.

2 NCAA rematches:

2009 Bowdoin lost to Plattsburgh in an NCAA play-in game in PK's up at Plattsburgh.

2008 RPI lost to Stevens 1-0 in the final minute. That was a very well played game with both teams having chance after chance. That was a legit Stevens side that made it all the way to the NCAA Final that year I believe. That RPI squad in 2008 might have been Clinton's best that I have seen. They were very good and had numerous chances to beat Stevens that day. To put it in perspective that RPI side might beat this years version 3-0. That being said that Stevens side might beat this years version 3-0.

MR, having watched both the 2008 and 2009 RPI teams, I think the 2009 squad was better.  14-2-2 going into the NCAAs, with both losses coming by a goal to Union (on which my son played).  At one point, they were 8-0-1 and perhaps #1 in the polls.  They hosted the first weekend of the NCAAs, won their first game against ECSU, and then lost 1-0 to your Ephs.
