Ok I have to speak out now. Obviously D3 is getting better, that's not a debate anymore. There is something to be said about the 2013 messiah falcons. That team was by far the most dominant, most best looking team out there. Josh Kremers is a legend. Without his stout Defense and his mature leadership on the pitch, there would have been very little success. You think it's a coincidence that messiah has been struggling ever since then? No!!!!! We know we will never get another Josh Kremers, but can we find the closest thing to him?

that team was undeniably the best team in D3 history. i had the pleasure of playing against them in the final that year. class team with class players.

Those Messiah teams from 2012, 2013, and 2014 were really something else. No team comes close to their technical prowess. They were everything but a slouch physically as well. Wood, Payne, Ramirez, Carter-Robbins were the best players in D3 during their careers. I'll never forget how Messiah completely dominated in the 2012 finals. It's a shame the giant killer goal knocked them out in 2014. They would have easily won their remaining games.

I have to be honest, that having seen the 2014 Messiah team, I was very impressed and thought they were the best DIII team that I've seen play.  They definitely could have beaten many D1 teams.  I did not see the other teams play but, given the 2014 personnel, I can imagine how good they were.  Regarding the 2014 loss, Messiah would have won the remaining games. They just came up against a team of destiny that year, Tufts, with a strong midfield to combat their attack.  I will say that the 2014 game with Tufts was one of the most exciting battles that I've seen in recent years, with both teams having additional opportunities to score...

I definitely agree with everythig you said. No explanation other than destiny for that ridiculous goal Kayne scores. Messiah's technical and tactical prowess were on a completely different level than anyone else in D3.

one of messiahs best players on the field consistently was their outside mid on the right side. red head kid can't think of his name at the moment.

Mike Kovach was probably the red headed right winger you are referring to. As luck would have it he is now an assistant coach on the team I support (Conn college).

2013
JT, Wood, Brandt/Kovach
Myer Payne Ramirez

2 POY in that front six (Wood/Payne)... and JT was probably the most dangerous of the bunch.

With Robbins and Kremers in the back.
