2016 West Region

Starting this to see if we can generate a little more West region discussion, beyond Trinity (TX) and periodic mentions of Whitworth.

The Caltech Beavers with their advertised recruiting class are fighting valiantly against Redlands but down 4-0 early in the 2nd.  The Beavers did push Whitman in the opener, losing 4-3.  As you would expect, Caltech does have good video and some decent commentary.

Nice "flyby" shoutout on D3Soccer.com by Christian Shirk for Coach Matt Edwards and the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags for their fast 4-0-0 start.  After stints as an assistant at Springfield and Amherst, Coach Edwards revitalized the program at Knox before heading out West last year.

A big upset tonight in SoCal, as 2-4-1 (now 3-4-1) Occidental storms to a 3-0 lead in the first 29' and claims a 3-1 victory over 6-1 (now 6-2) Redlands.  This must be the "90 for 90" "Oxyball" that is touted in the recruiting materials!
