For the first time I can remember, the football National Committee released the final, super secret, never released, rankings that are actually used to choose Pool C and help rank teams. You might at least get them to go that far.

OldCardinal and Mr.Right

Thanks for your input, OldCadinal you are correct some system is better than nothing and with the US being so huge in just land mass alone,  logistics plays a huge factor along with what I see as short leagues due to weather conditions, almost seems everything is rushed just in time to miss the severe weather.

Mr Right, I would just like to point out something you have mentioned twice, You have referred to my suggestion only mentioning wins and loses, never DRAWS?
I will read back and double check myself, but I am sure I mentioned Wins, Loses and Draw. 3 points for a win, 0 points for a loss and 1 point for a draw. Just clarifying?
Also I too would love to be a fly on the wall to see how the final 4 weeks is worked out. :)

I think my suggestions as out there as they may seem do have some value, I also feel a re-look into the conferences and potentially combining/mixing conferences with neighbouring states could increase competition, who knows may even develop a division 4.
Watching conference games and seeing teams get beat 7-0, 5-1 and so on is heart breaking to watch as a soccer fan, those teams getting thumped, not only lose confidence but start questioning their own abilities and the soccer program.
My point: The better the competition you play against the better the soccer and therefore doesn't become 1 sided as in some conferences.
I try and keep up with all leagues globally, so I do understand how the game should be played.

Old Cardinal the semi finals should be great and I am going to back my statements and say I think Calvin have a very good chance to win it, Last year got beaten by a very defensive Loras with tall strong defenders, I have said this to close friends numerous of times that Calvin should of crossed the ball low and hard and tested the keeper from long range,  more in last years semi final.
I have watched all 4 teams now and all have strengths and weaknesses, it's 100% up to the coaching staff to spot those weaknesses and exploit them.

None the less I will be watching both games of Friday and then the final on Saturday, I am very excited as are the rest of us.

Lastly the USA are very close to winning a World Cup, they must develop youth in such way that they fully understand tactical discipline from at least the age of 13, That is key as then the ground work has been completed, from there on in it all boils down to creating a balance in the national team (Very Important)

I remember playing against one of the most skilled players I have ever seen, he kept the ball on he's feet could get around most of us and trick the crap out of us, but he was ineffective... Nothing positive ever came from his aimless runs and trickery, I remember laughing at him and saying Wow you have amazing skill, pity you can't do anything effective with it. hahahaha
He didn't like that, but hey that's soccer, The greatest sport in the World!!!
