Esther Seeland, an integral member of Messiah's team that was the 2019 D3 National champions, is also an outstanding track athlete.

In 2019, as a freshman, Seeland was the NCAA National champ at 800 meters in a time of 2:05.24. This season she ran her 800 PR time of 2:03.25 at the Virginia Grand Prix, to take 2nd place and beat a lot of D1 athletes in the process. She is just shy of the time of 2:02.5 that is needed to qualify for the Olympic Trials.
