First-years to watch

This is wildly speculative, of course, but figured it would be interesting to have one place to list first years who could make an impact on the D3 landscape.  Here are some names to watch (with the understanding that folks from the pertinent region will likely have much better guesses than these; this is very New England-heavy at this point).  From this list, I'd say that Scott, Johnson, Henderson, Harris, Fagbemi, Ofcarcik, Dalton, Fletcher, Mosely and Devine are all definitely worth keeping a close eye on ...

Seth Miron changed his commitment to Stevens Point, I would certainly include Miron on this list as possible impact freshman.  I would also include another Stevens Point commitment, Josiah Butler.  I'm not sure how you view players coming from a prep year though.  Butler had over 10 full D2 offers coming out of high school, went to prep school for a year and now will end up at UWSP.  It was reported he had a D1 offer from Air Force as well but I'm not sure how committable that was.

Fewer opportunities than usual this year for First Years to make an impact, with so many fifth-year seniors and transfers around, but there are several who are off to very impressive starts (I'm most familiar with New England hence the heavy lean to that region):

UMass Boston is not a high profile program and they've played a weak schedule, but Perkins is putting up a ridiculous early stat line, to the point where I wonder if D1s will start to notice and recruit him as a transfer if he keeps playing anything like this:

26-8 on 63/52/87 shooting plus over two stocks per game. 

I'm sure there are plenty of others throughout the country, but those are a few who caught my attention ...

I really like Daniel Cochran, 6-7 Forward for UChicago.  Cochran is averaging 9.4 points (third on the team), 6.7 rebounds (first on the team) in 20 minutes of play per game.
